Product Reviews For Alpine CDE-154BT

  • I have always been an Alpine fan and this head unit did not disappoint. Plenty of features and power to drive front 5-1/4 Polk MM drivers and plenty of sound. I installed it in a 1971 Camaro. Slowly building my system to include a 3 channel amp and a sub in the trunk. I am very pleased with the unit and the Iphone App.

  • Alpine has never let me down with their head units. This works great with my phone for hands free calling. A button on the face for Bluetooth reconnect would be a great option for those times the phone restarts or looses connection. That way you don't have to do it through the phone.

  • Bought this July 2014, took it back three times because it randomly switches off, then back on. As it does this, it will drop any phone call. Finally seemed to have got that problem fixed, but now it won't maintaain its preset stations. Band 1, position 1 and position 6, keep resetting to the same freqency regardless of what I do. So tried the other bands, Same problem, it will no longer maintain preset stations. So what if the warranty will eventually fix this, who pays for my time driving back to the dealer to get it fixed? What's it going to be like after the warranty expires? it works well when everything is going good, but it seems to have the reliability of a bamboo watch.
