I replaced the pioneer D9705 with this DX975. Same amp just gold plated terminals on the DX975. My D9705's sub channel went bad after 3 years. I also changed the kicker 10 passive sub with a Kicker 12 Solo Baric, 600rms 2ohm sub and it sounds great! Awesome Amp for the size, money and sound! I run 2 kicker in dash 4x6's and 2 overhead 5.25's in my 97 Jeep TJ on the other 4 channels and it rocks!! Tune it right and I think you'll really like this little amp. The wired bass boost makes it a plus.
A perfect match to my Kicker speakers that I installed last month on my Silverado. I also just recently got a custom ported sub and its really sounding powerful with this amp. I have always been using Pioneer products for a long time and I dont think I’ll be steering away from one soon.
Hooked up the 5.25s and 6.5s in my Silverado and its delivering more than enough volume from what I’ve expected with the amplifier. Also just had connected my 10 inch sub and now the sound is so good and complete, from bass, mids to highs. The high and low pass filters are really spot on, which makes tuning easier than the past amp that I got.
Had it installed in my Tacoma to power all my speakers and sub and its doing a fine job for that. Fantastic full range sound. Very powerful amp to have. A+ for the overall performance.
