You can count on consistent power from these new Kenwood amps, even under the most demanding conditions. That's because they're built with MOSFET-switching power supplies for fast response, maximum output, and cooler operating temperatures. Larger-than-usual toroidal noise-suppression filters means they play loud and clear. And with speaker-level inputs, you can easily add one to any head unit. Looking to lay down a firm bass bedrock for your system? Built-in low-pass crossovers make it easy to feed your subwoofers just the right frequencies for clean, powerful bass. Or switch the crossover off for full-range output to your main speakers. Want even more options? The KAC-628 has selectable high-pass and low-pass filters built in.

BURT MUSSON From CAMPBELL,CA.
I gave this amp an 8 rating because for a two channel basic amp, this is a good sounding unit. It isn't packed with a bunch of useless features that don't get used, it does have some features needed for versital applications. I used it to beef up my bass in my rear deck 6x9's and it did such a solid job. People were asking what kind of sub woofers I was running?I told them none just two 6x9 two way speakers. They were impressed. They looked at all the trunk space I had compared to theirs and I was getting the same kick they were with big bandpass boxes only no chuff from the speakers, just smooth bass and a full spectrum sound response and not blown away from too much bass.
