so sweet, love the lights and it keeps itself nice and cool. perfect bump, overall just really nice quality.
I recevied this amp as a gift for my birthday, and have to say that i'm not very impressed. i've been a loyal infinity man for my life and this amp is just another reason why. If you turn the amp up to 3/4 gain you will almost always have clipping, and its not my sub i'm running a jbl Gti series sub it takes 700 rms. also there are no pre-amp outs on this amp, so if you want to power more than one sub each at 2 ohms tuff luck! cuz y adapters screw you on your preamp voltage!. also this amp doesn't give very good sound quality, i mean it will make a sub bump but the sq is thrown out the window! It will take a sq comp sub and make it sound like it came from walmart! i'm sorry mtx i'm staying with infinity, infinity's loks might not be as good but sq, rms, and price make me stay infinity. please think very hard before you buy this amp, do you want some bump or do you want sound quality? if your answer is the second then don't get this amp.
Overall its a great amp. It delivers great sound quality and gets some real good volume when you turn it up. You have to REALLY crank it to hear any distortion. It looks awesome too and with that color changeable lighting you can match it up with stuff like neon lighting, dash lighting, and even vehicle interior colors. The only thing I can think of that would improve it is a set of preamp outputs so you don't have to get a signal amp or use a y-adapter in the event that you want to use more power amps.
amp is really strong! sound quality is above average. sounds as good as my jl 500/1 that was stolen. not as many features as the jl, but just as clean and strong. the lights are awsome if installed in the cabin of the car or truck. for the money it can't be beat!!!
Musicmaster you are dumb, clipping does not come from the sub But your power system. this is one of the cleanest sounding amplifiers you can buy. Mine tested at 715 watts If you have the system to power this thing at a steady 14.4 volts it sounds awesome and even if you don't it sounds great
This amp is GREAT!! I have this amp along with 4 gauge wiring, a 12" MTX 5500 series sub and sledgehammer ported box. The amp looks badass, keeps cool, and pushes some major power. i have never had a problem with clipping, and i have my stock cd player in my grand prix. i have ALWAYS been a MTX fan, and it has always been my number one choice. Once again, a job well done by MTX
This is a great amp I had it hooked up to a rockford fosgate T2 15 inch and it pounded hard it had neighbors complaining and everything it didnt power it all the way but for this amp to power a 1000 watt rms sub it does a great job. nice job MTX
