FEATURES

  • Titanium Deposit Impregnated Cone - An Ultra High Performance look that is more rigid for less cone flex and less distortion.
  • Advanced Cone Technology - The outer edge of the cone has been rolled to increase cone rigidity to decrease cone flex under high excursion.
  • BAM (Basket And Motor) Assembly - Cast Aluminum Basket featuring low profile/open design. Provides a solid anti-resonant foundation for the massive motor assembly.
  • SPAIR (Simple Pull Apart Insertable Replacement) - A stamped steel removable cone assembly. (Patent Pending)
  • Uniplate V.2 with Vented Hyper-Extended Pole (Patent Pending)
    • Utilizes "X" Vent technology to insure proper dissipation of heat away from the voice coil during operation.
    • Provides enhanced heat transfer for cool operation and maximum power handling.
    • Increases the linear magnetic fields around the voice coil gap for superior cone motion control.
    • Releases pressure under ISD for freer cone motion and enhanced low bass.
  • SLAM (SPAIR Lockdown Attachment Mechanism) - The aluminum frame attached to the SPAIR which properly secures the removable speaker assembly (SPAIR) to the BAM (Basket And Motor assembly).
  • SPLAT (Speaker Precise Location Alignment Tool) - Locates and anchors the BAM to the baffle of your enclosure.
  • Locator Pin / Locator Hole - The pin in the BAM along with the hole in the SPAIR allows the SPAIR to fit only one way into the BAM and is necessary to insure proper performance.
  • ARCTIC Cap (Aluminum Rapid Cooling Thermal Induction Centering Cap) - Mounted on top of the extended pole--piece it is responsible for insuring the voice coil on the SPAIR is properly centered when inserted into the BAM, adds more mass for increased thermal transfer from the voice coil to the pole piece and channels air into the "X" Vent for increased cooling.
  • S3 Triple Spider Array - 3 Poly nomex spiders keeps the voice coil properly centered under high excursion.
  • Double Stack Custom Tooled Magnets - With a BAM this big, a single just wouldn’t fill your appetite.
  • ISD (Inverted Structural Dome™) - Further increases cone's resistance to flex under pressure.
  • Stitched Surround - Prevents cone/surround separation at high excursions.
  • Dual Ultra-Length Voice Coils - For high excursion and flexible wiring options.

  • Wow I have one of these I'm a chevy blazer with 2 hifonix 2600 watt amps pushin it trust me its LOUD. I've had 6 12's and 4 15's and this one tops them all. I've even hit a 147.6 on the db meter I call it some straight up rediculous bass...

  • I've got one and its probably the loudest thing that the average person has heard but if you know anything about subs, this sub will get owned by a fi BTL, a rd super heavy weight, the AA mayhem, the DD 9500 series, the audioque hdc3, the atomic APX, its not the best its just the best YOU'VE ever heard cuz you don't know shit about car audio. and as far as jordan from toronto, the highest SPL on record is alan dante, he hit a 181db with a single dd 9918 2 solo x 18s on 10k watts your lookin at low 150's 152-154 area, and thats in a perfect enclosure, in a wall maybe mid 150's alan dante hit 181db with around 70,000 watts in a burp. steve meade does high 150's with 4 btl 18's off 20k watts

  • HAHAHA i dont even have one of these im just writing how big of an idiot "Jordan" is. the only way i could imagine he hit that is if he had the mic in the port and have his warhorse (that he probably doesnt have) turned ALL the way up. so jordan wake up. thank you

  • i heard this speaker at a car show, its sound quality is good but it doesnt pull decimals like 10000 watt speaker should.. steve meade hits lower 160's with the 4 18's, LOL yea that guy that claims 185, yea right...

  • first of all for all u confused audio wantabee this is a ok driver, but very sloppy in sq and not that impressive of a spl driver.for all u people out there claiming u hit a 168 or a 185 u have to be a jackasses.there is no way u could even get around a 164 with these drivers there to power hungry and would need a ton of power to do it. Ive been in the spl circuit for over 10 years and never seen such a thing.anyone hitting over a 170 are in what they call a extreme vechile that means they have walls in them from the b pillar back most guys will 1 inch steel plate in there doors also concrete doors,floors,4 inch bulletproof widow glass.most guys doing a 170 or above usally need at least 4 alternators minmum of 100 baterries and most of the time at least 100,000 watts.scott owens holds the higest spl record ever he was hitting a 182.8 with the 13, 15 inch pioneer subs and over 150 batteries.so all i can say to people out there thinking they hit a 185 and keep it on the low u must be a idiot to make a false statements. best ive seen 4 of these subs was a 165 in a wall with 8 dd audio z2 amps bet most people would need to take out a mortage to afford this set up. If u want to c a badass spl van check out bob perillo at team 420 he set all kind of world records.

  • Don't understand why people badmouth this sub. Don't understand why they say "this is better, thats better, it ain't that loud, it don't sound good"... Think about it for a sec. Would you A. Not buy it cuz some guy on a review board says it plain sucks B. Buy it cuz some guy says its great OR C. Buy it cuz you are like me, you go by trial and error. I've bought countless subs for countless cars in my 27 years in car audio. My ears are like no one elses ears. Just like all of your ears are unique as well. Same goes for musical taste. I heard this thing. I have this thing. And I love it. If I knew what these reviewers had, I'd badmouth that too. Silly trivial stuff. A $700 subs sucks for sure right? IN YOUR OPINION, cuz in mine and everyone's I've ever let listen to it, it sounds AWESOME. Keep it to yourself if you're just partial to other brands. Keep it to yourself if you don't truly know squat about car audio. Ok?

  • I have 4 of these hooked up in my 2005 Escalade with 4 hifonics XX-Maxximus 10,000 watt amp. yes i have spent a lot of money on my truck but its only 4 show. I have the subs hooked up a 1ohm thru my amps and the sound is killer. but you need a big wallet to get where im at. For the idiot who claims he hit 185 with only 2 of these i bet you dont have the power supply that i do. Under the hood i have a yellow top and a high amp alternator, in the back i have 4 Yellow tops for each amp and high amp alternators for each battery in the back. i have had to take out the back seats completely to do this setup. i have spent close to $20,000 to get this system and i barely hit 181db on the mic and that was with the amps turned up high. if you want one of these bad boys its really worth the money. i have on in my everyday car and im very satisfied with jus one hooked up to another hifonics XX-Maxximus and i can be heard 4 blocks. Recommend anyone buying this

  • All the guys on here that say this is the best subwoofer dont even know what a good subwoofer sounds like. this sub isnt worth the money ur payin for it. it may get loud but it doesnt sound good at all. the Fi BTL 18 is a way better sub theres no comparison it can hit lower notes and u dnt get any distortion in it. ive heard both these subs before and hands down the BTL is better so for all the people out there sayin the kicker solox is the best they are full of crap and dont know anythin about good subwoofers
