Product Reviews For Infinity Kappa Perfect 12.1

  • These are probably the best sounding woofers you can buy for the money. The bass is extremely clear and uncolored and, the frequency goes down very low (18hz). Their high efficency rating makes them very versatile with a wide variety of amps. I've had mine bridged to two of the channels on my Audiobahn A435HCQ 4ch amp getting only 70 watts RMS and it still bumps! Then I hooked it up to my Audiobahn 1500HCT pulling 500 watts RMS @ 4 ohms and it sounded amazing. This sub has no problem taking 500 watts, just make sure you have it in a small enough enclosure(1 cu ft). It's got the looks too. Nothing crazy, just elegant. And who can complain about a three year warranty? Overall I highly reccomend this sub for anyone looking for incredible SQ and loud bass.

  • I bought 2 of these subs, powered with an Audiobahn 8002T Amp. These subs are in truck boxes, and they sound better than other guys I know who have their other 12's in bandpass boxes. They hit hard and hit the low bass. They easily handle their rms power rating, and higher. Great subs!

  • Very nice subwoofers, I am running (2) 12.1's with a 600 x 2 amp at 4 ohms, and let me be the first to say these subwoofers are excellent. The only negetive I have about these baby's are that at high volume they don't sound as clear. Other than that one of the best set of subwoofers I have heard. Very loud.

  • They do sound great but as said before get a little loose when cranked. The other thing is I have gone through 2 pairs of these things now in 4 yrs, they do not last, especially pissed with the first pair cuz they where around $300 a peice. I ran them with a 700a2 fosgate and the last ones with a soundstream tarantula 1600/2 with kenwood kvt 815, a cap, yellow top batteries super heavy gauge wire and other high quality parts.

  • I love these subs. It is possible to upgrade because there are some better. But very, very nice SQ subs. Everything is perfectly clear and sounds great. These do hit hard to. They easily handle their rms. I have my 2 running off a 611a amp and 4 guage wire. I also got the Kappa speakers amped to a Kicker 200.4 amp so all Infinity gear sounds nice. I highly recommend unless you have a huge budget and want more than SQ.

  • I have one of these bridged off of a fosgate 4004 amp, and they kick hard. Really good on using the power supplied, sound is very clean undistorted. I highly recommend these if you want more bang for your buck.

  • Great sub. Hits hard and deep-really deep. I am suprised how great the SQ is. For the money these are hard to beat. For $159, you can't go wrong. If you low-pass filter them at 30Hz at a 12dB slope they sound simply awesome.

  • I have 4 of these in a small sealed box with a pair of infinity 6x9s in the top of the box.Two infinity 6.5 component sets, two speakers per door.Three zapco reference amps 50watts per channal per all speakers except the subs. I have the zapco 500.1 mono amp feeding the subs 360watts on a 4ohm loadsounds great. I hate to mix and match products, thats why i choose all zapco amps, infinity speakers.Kenwood 889 exc head unit.

  • These speakers truly are special. I have two 12"s, and for over a year I have had them hooked up to a MTX 1000d pumping 500 watts to each one in a 1 cubic foot box. They go way down, they hit super hard, and their greatest feature is their speed. The Boston Pro's are the only speaker that I have heard that is not over $500.00 that can match the sq that these babies produce. Even the cheapest of subs get loud if you put enough power to them. Very few can sound this good doing it. If you want your base to hit so hard that you see spots in your vision look elswhere. If you want a sub that will make your heart beat in time, and is clean enough to make your girlfriend smile, then the kappa perfect is the one for you.

  • This subwoofer was amazing when I had it. It kills my friends Alpine type R and he's running twice the power. The sensitivity level is amazing on this sub and as long as you put out a good amount of power from your head unit. The only bad part about this sub is that it was too loud and someone jacked it from my trunk at night. Get an alarms system with it...
