  • Until I had my Clarion stereo stolen by theives in my car park at work it was my pride and joy. Together with my Eclipse speakers they created some of the best quality sounding music in a car that i've eva heard.

  • Amazing Deck. I would recommend this deck to anyone who is looking for a deck with a lot of feature's and powerful pre-outs for those amps. The features on this are unlimited, I especially like the feature that stores songs. Clarion makes some of the best decks so expect nothing less from this one.

  • This is the ultimate. Clarion proaudio is the best thing to happen to car audio since the invention of the multi channel amp. you will not hear anything better. Ive had it all and this is the best. beats the c**p out of the nakamichi i replaced. the ergonomics are phenominal, the sound is unstopable, and the expandability is mind blowing. The ultimate audiophiles deck. Clarion is the best kept secret in car audio! you wont be disapointed

  • I purchased this radio 2 weeks ago. It´s running two Logic Soundlab ALX780 800 watts amp´s for the speakers (6 Kenwood Execelon speakers; KFC-X1700P in the front, KFC-X167DB in the back doors and KFC-XR901 in the trunk panel)- and one Logic Soundlab ALX380 400 Watts amp for the Excelon subwoofer (KFC-XW1025dB). The sound is unique, clean and powerfull. The controls are really easy to use and it does have a lot of features that most of the higher range receivers don´t have. The variable color display is very usefull and elegant whent it comes the time to set it as same as the dashboard of your car. I´ve have had Pionner, Kenwood and Alpine units but this one is much better when it comes to sound, desing, price and quality. The music catcher is an extra that turns out to be very usefull...the only competitor in this feature is the Pionner DEH-P90HDD and it´s way to expensive. Radio station tunning is clear even when you are in an area surounded by mountains. When I purchased this unit I wasn´t very shure about it, but belive me... It´s a very cheap unit that is way better than most of those that cost $400 or $600 bucks. If you don´t have any amp´s the radio will trow out enough power to move any four 6.5" or 6x9" speakers with exellent sound quality. Accesing the music folders is easy for those that have a lot of MP3´s or WMA´s in one CD... If you dont belive me just take a look in more articles posted here or the web. Thanks a lot to onlinecarstereo for selling this amazing product at a relly good price.

  • There are better units but will cost a whole lot more. Overall, I highly recommend this unit. 9 out of 10. Here are some 'facts' you won't see. PROS: -Awesome SQ and has a lot of functions to control sound setting -Quality of material and finish is top notch. CONS: -Music Catcher is a nice concept but quality of playback SUCKS in both HI and LOW quality recording and can ONLY record CD-Aduio (not mp3, wma, etc). -So called 80 color display is nothing more than Red, Yellow, Orange, Green in different shades. Beware, there is "NO" BLUE display!!! -Remote control is stubbly and not very well laid out.

  • Sound quality on CD, Sirius, and FM tuner are above average, music catcher is choppy, wishing I could change the sampling rate, I read that it's at 128k which is pretty poor considering the technology available today. even a 192k rate would sound better. build quality is good. with all the things going on the display, why not have a small clock in the corner when listening to sirius or fm? only clock display is on the big numerals and can only have that instead of song titles/artists. Display could be better, washes out in sunlight very easily and kind of bright at night, so no real good compromise. sound quality though is good except for music catcher, and that's what it is all about anyway, the music, right?

  • Music catcher is fine the other guys don't know what they are talking about. Mine plays back the song like they are played off the CD. I would know because i run sound alot and i know what good quality is and this is one of the best decks i have ever used. Very user friendly. Love it. Highly reccommend it

  • Display is nice, but really washes out in Sunlight. Musiccatcher sounds like mush due to low sampling rate, those who think it sounds "just like a CD" must really enjoy listening to Tin cans or AM transistor radios! The plus is the CD is top notch and the sirius is excellent. Good concept for musiccatcher but falls short of expectations. Try it for yourself, I often find recordings on musiccatcher to sound kind of screachy and the highs aren't real crisp compared to the full version CD. I prefer putting songs on higher sampling rate onto CD's and since this deck plays WMA and MP3, the higher sampling sounds great !
