Product Reviews For Rockford Fosgate T162S

  • RF has dun it again. These speakers r phenominal. Ive got a 94 Bronco w/a pair of the T162s in my doors being pushed 100w rms per channel. I have a pair of the T1682s 6x8 in the back seat also being pushed by 100w rms per channel. I have 2 RF P3 12" Subs in a 2x12 vented enclosure with each sub being pushed 400w rms. All speakers r being pushed by Alpine Vpower amps. These speaker sound sick. Clear and crisp u hear every nuance in all kinds of music, from jazz to metal to hip hop, it doesnt matter. These speaker can handle whatever u need from them. A Little expensive, but definitley worth difference.

  • These speakers are some darn nice speakers. Even the grilles are metal if that says anything. As far as sound goes, they are awesome. They handle every bit of power my Kicker Impulse 356xi bridged will give them and even without any HPF. Right now i don't have them in an enclosure so they are free air, but just by the way they move, i can tell that when i get my glass doors done, they will be great sounding in the lower end. The tweets are top notch. Very easy to hear and play every little sound perfectly. Very satisfied i bought these speakers. By the way, this place was the cheapest i could find these speakers because of the free shipping.

  • Unbelievable speakers. Crystal clear when hooked up to a decent amplifier that can handle these monsters. I have these in the front doors of my 04 WRX; very tight squeeze. It's hooked up to a 4-channel Eclipse (32440) Amp, and all I can say is wow. The highs and mids are phenominal. I can't give too much input about the lows, since I can't really hear them over my L7. I highly suggest buying these if you have the money. Hands down, a great speaker.

  • Sorry for my poor english as I'm a Malaysian. 1st of all, I'm a guitarist and a drummer who jammed in studio and I've got high expectation on sound quality. I've bought this few months ago and I have been choosing speakers for years because I'm the kind of person who listen to all kind of Metal. I'd listened to Morel Hybrid Ovation2, Morel Elate 2-way + Supremo Picolo Tweeter, Morel Elate 2-Way LIMITED edition, all being juiced by 2 Genesis Class A and a large Genesis Class A Dual Mono(Limited Edition) amps and it just dont feel like Metal to me (if you know what I mean). Tried DLS, Pioneer 3-way, Tried AD component and it all the same. But this, T162s being juice by t400 without any processor or audio control, it gave me everything I want to hear, Hi-hats, snares, ride&crash cymbals, power chords, I mean EVERYTHING. And the best part is, its like listening to a band jamming infront of u in the studio!

  • I would compare these to the Focal 165KP components. Seriously. The sound these things put out is amazing for the price. I'm used to what people would refer to as "high-end" brands like Focal, Brax, Beyma, Morel, and RE. Simply put, these things put those brands to shame when you can get a component system for over 90% less than the price of those high end brands and still get the same sound. Its even better than some of those brands, really. Buy em, try em... You won't be disappointed, especially not at the OCS price.

  • i sampled these along with mb quartz rainbow alpine type x, 3 way eclipse components .. they are very loud and clear, i also tryed them on different amps ,they sound great. however i would not agree with the guy who said its bettere than focal.. my focal 6.5 polyglass comps smash anything ive herd ,i also herd the k2 focals .. diference is the pglass has more highs,k2 has more bass.. my focals got stollen ,so with alott of thought and research im considering buying these rockfords.. if i had more money i would go wit the focals, they sound more realistic/louder too
