Product Reviews For Pioneer Premier PRS-D5000SPL

  • this thing is great. Not many other amps can put out this much power and mantain decent sq. I had this and a pioneer 5000spl in an excursion and it was incredible. I sold it recently and replaced it with a 13w7 and 1000/1. SQ is better than 5000spl but the 13w7 is not near as loud as the pioneer was w/ this 3000w beast hooked to it

  • I had this amp running two 12" Pioneer Premier TS-W2000SPL in a custom ported box. I had these in my 99 Grand AM GT. The hit extremely hard and sounded decent. Only complaint is that there are no fuses on the amp, they give you one to run in-line in the power cable. This proved not so well with me as the amp heated up too quickly all the time (even@only4ohms) and I eventually burnt this amp up. I switched to Alpine amps.

  • this is an outstanding amp, but only if you want spl (sound pressure level).. and you need a sub that can hit down to 10hz or else anything below what your sub is rated at will sound distorted... and you need to get a head unit that can reproduce frequencies that hit 10hz or below, or else your amp and sub wont hit it... all in all this is my amp of choice considering that i have an IDMAX sub (Which has high output, and high linear excursion), that has an RMS wattage of 1000 and a max of 1800. The frequency range is 10-250hz... i have others too but thats another story...
