Product Reviews For Alpine CDE-9843

  • I just bought this unit to replace a factory stereo from GM that sucked. All I can say is WOW, talk about improvement!! I compared this cd player with a lot higher priced units and it holds its own. I highly recommend Alpine cd players they are tops!!!

  • Very nice unit for the price. No frills such as a remote but just good sound. It has the features I need and nothing more. I do not like the aluminum on the face but that is personal choice. This unit went in a Porsche 928S which is being brought up to "like new" condition and it works much better than the previous Pioneer.

  • I previously owned an Alpine CDM 7833 with CD changer control options that I never used. The CDE 7843 was just what I was looking for! A very good entry level digital MP3 player from a quality company. I didn't need a remote or satelite capabilities but I like the possibilities of adding a seperate amp with the pre-amp outputs. The best part about the unit is that there aren't a lot of bulky knobs and buttons, a testament to the Alpine name. This will replace my old Alpine unit in my 1996 Mustang GT, a perfect fit to boot!

  • Probably the best value in car audio. Compared to the pioneer i was going to buy (I heard it in another car) this is way better sounding and much easier to set-up and use!

  • I had this unit in my 1989 Nissan Sentra, running through 2 profile CA400 (1 for highs, 1 for lows) to my Alpine SPS-693 and Infinity 1030s. it didn't win any SPL contests but was loud, and I constantly got compliments on the sound quality. Just wish there was a remote! other than that, a very good beginner unit for a good beginner system. the 10's were sealed by the way

  • Got this installed in my f-150 and it deffinitly improved my stock sound system. I plan on putting new speakers in and i am sure this will be able to provide good power for them. The best part and upgrade from a factory unit is the quality of the sound from highs to bass is very much improved.
