Product Reviews For Alpine SWR-1022D

  • I have found THE subwoofer for the audiophile future. It is amazing at recreating every low end note you want, near perfect, down to its response floor. Pair it with a 12" Type R (like me) or maybe a 15" (if youve got the rocks) and the floors drops out and the walls start to shake. WORTH EVERY CENT

  • I love them. I have 2 10" Type R's with a kicker 1000/1 amp and it is louder than s#!t. It kills my old system 2 10" w3 with a 500/1.

  • All I have to say is DAMN! These subs sound great. I have the sub in a ported box powered by an Alpine M650. They won't shake up the block, but they do give a good thump in the car. Best sub for the price. Highly recommend it.

  • I loves them! I had two in my 2003 saturn vue, I used a 1.25 ported Qlogic box. I have a Alpine PDX-1.1000 powering them. I had them for two or three months than blew them. They it hard people thought I had 12's. I think now I'm going to get them 12's.

  • I use four of these in a sealed box mounted in an extended cab Ford Ranger. The subs have .694 cu.ft. each wich is right in the middle of their spl/sq guidlines. These four 10" Type R's receive 2000W RMS via two Alpine MRD-M1005 mono amps wich are themselves fed by a heavily upgraded power supply system. This setup absolutely SLAMS. Bass is deep, clean, and huge. At higher volume levels, you start wondering if time and space within this little truck is gonna somehow get warped. The Alpine Type R's combine value, quality, and performance in a package that is hard to beat. Great stuff. Get it.

  • I have 1 type R 10inch in more extended cab ranger and not only does it his well it sounds amazing. I have a friend with 2 p2's 12inch subs and I swear that my single 10 can keep up with him. The only difference is that these alpine dont beat the carp out. They simply hit hard effortlessly.

  • I have on of these in a 1.25cu ft ported box (Purchased from here)and the sub performs 10 times better than I thought it would have. I have a Punch 360.2(Power series)amp pushing this sub and it seems to take all the amp can dish out. I used to be big into Punch and Kicker speakers but from now on I will not buy anything other than Alpine. Overall great sub for the price and size.

Its sound quality is great.People ask if i got 2 twelves and the way it moves the steering wheel gots to say something good.By far the Best and most durable 10"sub I ever had. I got to get me another, the prize is right.

  • i have a single type-R with a sealed box and a Alpine MRP-M500 mono amp powering it. This thing hits hard and it sounds so clear. In the past I had two 12" audiobahn's with a decent size amp and this 10" alone hits harder than the Two Audiobahn's together. Great Buy and I would Recommend this sub to anyone.

  • I just installed 2 of the type r's in my Toyota pickup in a custom box tuned to their specs, not too much and not too little. They are powered by an alpine m1000 amp with an alpine deck. These are hard to explain unless you sit in my truck. It makes my ears continuously pop, and I'm sure they are the loudest subs in my school. Oh, and they're pretty much impossible to blow, I'm just worried about my truck as they shake the s*** out of it.
