This is a nice amp for the alpine type r12. It knocks real hard at 2ohms and is not a bad amp for the money. The amp is very power demanding though. Highly suggest at least a 1 farad capacitor.
This amp has plenty of power. I have 2 Alpine Type-R, 2-ohm subwoofers run in a parallel circuit. This amp pushes the subs real hard. As long as you have a strong enough alternator you shouldnt need a cap. Make sure you get a good quality amp wiring kit. Great amp!
I have 2 of these and 2 type r12" one to each. There at 2 ohms and they bang hard. I only have them at 1/4 turned up on the gain and non on the bass eq. They are very power demanding I have a kinetik hc600 and my lights still dimm sometimes
i have this amp hooked up tp 2 Alpine SWS-1023D at 2 ohms and wow. they have unreal sound, and can handle all 400 rms to each. they love the power.sweet SQ,i like them better then my type r.
good amp for the money.. running it on a 8 year old type r 12, and have it in a costom box made by brand x in kenosha wi. its called a wavebox, almost the same design as the bose radio's.. the box is the bomb!!!! it makes the worst sub look like a dimond.. so im pushing 500 rms to it and it pounds.. i had 3 12in type r's and a power 1000 bd from rockford fosgate and this is half of what i had for 1 12 so its banging.. amp though is nice and sounds great, doesnt get hot.... hands down its either JL rockford or alpine in my car.
i bought this amp about a month ago along with the R series 15" sub. i've got it set up in my trailblazer. i've got a sealed box along with a 5 farad tsunami cap. it sounds great and the sub pounds hard but whenever i cut the gain up more then like halfway the sub pops and cuts out. don't know what that's about but it still sounds good. if neone knows what could be wrong then please say something.
i have this thing hooked up two boss audio lac129ds and o my god does it bang it actually made my mirror fall of the door lol my niebor said it shook his dresser mirror thats like a hundred feet away sweet very good amp !!!!
this amp is one of the best i ever had i have it hooked up to two 12inch kicker cvr subs and it bumps hard. i would have to say you could hook any type of subs to it and you would hear results.
You definately get your money's worth. I have them on 3 12" type R woofers and it SLAMMMS. No joke, never cuts off and always gives me sufficient power. A+++
i had this amp running a 15inch type R at 2 omes and i will never buy another amp again is top of the line way ahead of the compotition
I have this thing hooked up to two audiobahn 12s at 4 ohms, man this hit real hard. the amp is worth it, but if you get it make sure you get a cap. i have a 2 fraud cap on it and it still making my lights dim
I have 2 of these amps in both of my suv's. One is powering 2 08 kicker square 2ohm L7's. OMG they hit soooo hard and i dont even have the bass gain near half way. The other amp is powering one alpine type x. I have the bass gain all the way up on the amp. WOW!!!!!! is all I can say.
i have to s type 12'' alpines in a mtx ported box and blew my mirror of my window. Very powerfull amp and suggest not using the s types in a sealed box or they will start poping.
