Product Reviews For Polk Audio db1212

  • I have the single 12" system loaded in my VW beetle, in the baggage compartment in the very rear. I'm running the 900 watt peak JVC amp (2 channel) in stereo, and I would guess I'm getting about a peak excursion @ 800 watts BUT what a nice sound! Linearity is second to none- I am running 4 6.5 polks in the doors, and rear kicks also These aren't the meanest I've had, or heard, BUT for 1-12"-It's highly recommended for the audiophile type who would rather have accuracy than quantity! Klippel is a new system for measuring cone linearity- Must be something to it?

  • This sub is very nice. Seems very well built. It is also a very quick punchy sub that can keep up with hard rock. It can also pound hard if you want it to. I have this in a Nissan Xterra running off of the polk 400.1 and it is a lot louder than I had thought. I love it. I am hooked on Polk Audio.

  • My sub is hooked up to a Hi-Fonics Brutus 1000w amp and hits hard and good in the trunk. One thing though if your running this much pwer and your head unit is mp3, usb adaptable make sure that the volume is way down before connecting!!! the sub popped on me(like pluging a guitar to an amp)while getting in my car after work. Had it replaced but other than that I might get another and throw it in my Suburban!

  • I recently install this sub in my truck, and it sounds great! This is my first ported box and I highly recommend it. I have it powered with a Boston Acoustic amp @ 400 watts and the sound quality is excellent. The cabinet is solid and well made.

  • I have had this sub fo over a year, now. It is big. It is always in the way. It is hooked up to its Polk Audio mono amp that matches power perfectly. It is the most awsome sub ever! It doesn't mater if it is Blues, Jazz, Rock, country or classical, This speaker is just what the Dr. ordered. It does the job better than any I have ever heard!
