Great sub sq is not as gud as the last type r but for the price its a gud buy i have 2 n my 09 charger powered by the hifonics brz 2400.1 n a gz obcon box and they slam nothin bad 2 say about this sub and yes they r true 1000watt rms cea compliant check out the specs at alpine-usa.com i have the speakers wired down 2 1ohm

Great sub! But it seems alpine changed this type r up than the previous model but it still sounds good. I have 1 of em running at 4ohm in a 1.75 ported box. It is way LOUDER than the previous model and the sq is not as great but it sounds good to me. Then again, i just got it today and it hasnt been broken in yet. So give it a lil time and it will be ready....But overall this is a great product. It is definately LOUD tho! if you are thinking about getting two, u mite wanna have good battery, capacitor or sum cuz they are like 1000 rms a piece.
