Kenwood Excelon KFC-X698 Pros:
Bass sound like you have high end amp powered sub-woofers with a kick/ Mid-Range gives that clear guitar that you normally been missing/ Tweeters are strong, smooth and vibrant. They have it all. The price for these speakers are more than 50% less than inferior speakers. Two year Kenwood Excelon warranty.
Cons: None Except Kenwood no longer offers these first rate speakers.
I installed the speakers in my 1998 Nissan Frontier KC. Taking my rear jump seats and removing my seat cushions and seat belts. Making a cutout for the 6"*9" and installing the speakers. With the seats closed, only the speaker grills show. They look stock with the handle of the jump seats allowing the seat to be folded down exposing the back side of the Kenwood speakers and not losing 1" of room.
I have a Kenwood KAC-8401 60 watt*4 channel amp driving these and the front Rockford Fosgate P162S component speakers costing twice as much and can't hold a candle to the Kenwood KAC-X698 Speakers.
I installed these components in 2005 and I'm still grinning ear to ear.
Just install a new JVC KW-XG700 head unit receiver with a front USB connection. My CD collection is taking a backseat to the USB Travel Drive Media. 12-12-2008
