9.5 overall, Just got this amp 2 days ago to replace my p3001( a fantastic amp that I sold for retail price to some dumb kid down the block...hey kid live and learn). Anyway, this is the one I wanted to power my 2 mtx 9500. All I can say is holy shitake mushrooms batman, this thing is a monster, I had it tested to verify rockford's certificate which claimed 694 watts@ 2ohms, guess what...736 watts with 14 volts and a 1 farad cap. Sound quality is rockford perfect as usual and this thing only pulled 65 amps at 14volts. For the mathematically challenged that's over 80% efficiency. I guess bd stands for bad dass!!!!!
I've got one pushing an Infinity 10" 4 ohm Sub in a small, sealed enclosure, and the sound quality is awesome. All the clean power I need with plenty to spare.
this for sure is one of the best amps out there i have it pushing two premeir 12 inch shallow mounts but when the bass hits to hard the amps shuts off for a couple off secs then will come back on when i turn it down got some troubleshooting to do on it but other than that i love it so far
i have three of these pushing 3 L7 12's amd it pushes them very hard actually i just blew one of them with this amp turned up on half gain so it pushes out alot of power ill give it an overall 10
Man I was sceptical when I bought this.. I've had this amp for about a week now maybe, and have had no problem with it so far....the rap sheet said something like 412 watts in 4-ohms, like 697 watts on 2 ohms, and 969 watts into 1 ohm....this amp pounds...right now I got one of these running 2 Boss 12's down to one ohm....next up I'm going to get the SoundStream's T4, man that thing is gonna POUND!
I got one of these from my friend about 2 years ago, ran it for a while then sold it for more than i bought it for! ha Rockford makes the best amps for sure! about 720rms watts at 1.7 ohms to my 3 alpine type-s 12s. not enough though so i just got the 1000bd. should push about 1200rms!!!!!!!! probably be loud enough now!
Yes this amp is a good amp but I'm wondering why other people say that they've run it at 1 ohm. I can't get it to run on 1 ohm likes to shut off that's kind of crazy for me to see that it can't run in 1 ohm and then some other people are running that at 1 ohm. It says that you can't run it at 1 ohm it can run only at 4 ohms or 2 ohms.
