I upgraded my 99 Taurus stock sound system with these and a Pioneer deck. it sounds great. much better than the factory stuff. ive been told they would sound better if they had a amp.
These are the clearest speakers i herd and i herd a lot of speakrs from infinity Ref. To polk DB and momo. Alpine Type R, And these speakers are the clearest out of them all and they had the best bass response. With them amped they are like having a couple 8" subs in you door with a tweeter. Buy Them if you want the cleanest sound.
These are awsome speakers. I have them in my 2000 Ford F-150. They are very clean sounding. they have great bass. These speakers however dont make a difference if you are running them off your Factory head unit. Thats what i did wrong once i amped them,and when i did they sounded as good as my moms 60,000 dollar lexus car stereo system its like a 12 speaker system. AWESOME SPEAKERS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
When I bought my car i was curious why the speakers in my door were sounding so much better then all the other ones...So I ended up pulling off the panel and there it was, a rockford fosgate 6 x 8... I was like wow, i didn't know they could sound that good for being as cheap as they are...definitely a good buy.....
I settled on these in spite of the fact I really wanted true components. They are no better than off the shelf Pioneers. It is a medium product at a medium price point so not much lost. They are in the back doors so it really is not that critical. Props: They handle a lot of power. Cons: At the expense of excellent sound.
I play hard bass music .. I brought these speakers with the amp ( Rockford Fosgate T1682C , Rockford Fosgate T600-4) in april 2009 .. i have burned out the speakers all ready... sad
Sound pretty good for mid-level speakers. Some lower midbass notes are slightly distorted at high volumes. But only my subs are amped. Probably would sounds pretty good if I had more than 25 watts rms going into these
