WOW !!! WHAT POWER THIS AMP HAS. I AM VERY IMPRESSED. I HAVE TRIED OTHER NAME BRAND AMPS TO RUN MY DUAL VOICE COIL 12" SUB-WOOFER and NONE OF THEM WERE ABLE TO PRODUCE THE POWER I NEEDED. IT WAS AN EXPENSIVE LESSON LEARNED.
This amp is a good little amp. and when i say little i do mean little. Its dimentions are MUCH smaller than i would have expected for an amp that is sapposed to do 1200w. However it does push a good ammount of power. i dont know if it will truely do 1200w but it is pushing 900w pretty easy to my Ascendant Audio Avalanche 18. it barely gets warm. a good replacement for the BX1500 which was a hardy amp, just overrated. I would compare this amp to a JL 1000/1 for power and a good price. The only thing i dont like is the high pass filter for subsonic frequincys wont go lower than 15Hz and my sub is more than able to reproduce such frequincies (16Hz Fs in a 6cuft enclosure tuned to 27Hz. Ascendantaudio).
This amp is a little beast. My Xtant A6001 blew up so I picked the B1205D. Honestly, the amp is overated power wise. I am confident that it'll push at least 800 watts with plenty of headroom. Mine stays cool with the 1.5 ohm load from my DVC aluminum Eclipse 12 and always has more to give. The sound is above average, the value is exceptional, and the power is awsome. I totally recomend this amp to anyone who needs a lot of dependable power under 2 ohms. It will not disapoint.
Excellent amp! This amp is untouchable... for the money. By the way Chris, the human ear cannot hear frequencies lower than ~20HZ. When you see your sub moving but don't hear anything, that's because the note is lower than 20Hz. Subsonic filters are meant to get rid of subsonic frequencies and therefore uneeded speaker movement and amplifier stress.
got it hook up to two kicker L7 dual 4 ohms wired at 2 0hms each in a 84 crown vicoria and it performs with out hesitation or problems. barely gets warm just give it the power it needs and youll see what hifonics is about. but for the price and power under 2ohms cant beat it. peace out to extreem renagade riders
This is a great amp, looks good to with the blue hifonics light up when on, puts out tons of power for my pioneer premier TS-W3002SPL running at 1 ohm a very good choice
this amp is good i have it pushing one kicker L7 it pushes it pretty good. i have it wired to 2 ohms but i dont think this is putting out 900 watts like it says but it still works pretty good. the only thing i dont like about this amp it the HUGE fuse it has. its not a standerd size fuse.
This Is one of the best amp you can buy. i have had some for all most a year and it is still hitting as hard as the 1st day i got it. If you some one out there thinking about buying a JA 500/1, save your money and buy this one.
This is a very good amp. I have 4 Hifonics amps in my car, and two of them are the BX1205D. I'm running them at 1 ohm on some 12" Pioneer premier SPL dual voice coil subs. The amps don't get hot and provide plenty of power.
I just bought two of these bad boys I plan to hook them up to TOw JL audio 10' W7 subs but they never came in yet. I tryed them out though there crazy. they made my frieds Kenwood 1000 watt amp look horrible. every person who seen them in action wanted to buy them off me . IF you are looking to buy a high end amp this is the one for you and it is at a crazy good price on this website.
This amp is awsome. I have one of these hooked up to 2 18 jl w3s and its rediculas. This amp does under power my subs at all. Great amp escipally for the price.
I just installed this in my Mercury Sable pushing 2 PPI DCX 124 subs at 1 ohm, I thought the subs were going to get launched out of the box it was hitting so hard. For the $$ you cant beat this amp. Forget JL, dont waste your money..
Best amp on the market for under $200. I have it hooked up to 2 10inch pioneer premeirs and they thump. One of the reasons i bought this amp was if i ever want to upgrade my subs i can and keep the same amp because it can give out 1200 watts for sure. I have it wierd at 2 ohm but i think if you got one massive sub and wired it to 1 ohm you could get the full 1200 wawtts out of it. In the end great amplifier havent had a single problem for over 2 months now.
i bought one off my friend for 30 bucks the rca cable input was all jacked up but i sent out to fix and now i got it pushing two 12'' mtx jackhammers and it really pushes it super hard im impressed with the sound
