i am so dissatisfied, i have this in one of my show car with the suggested power supply and was running 4 jl w7. the sound quality was so distorted and the amp production began to weaken. i returned this amp with rage... i will just stick with my JL.
This amp is amazing. I don't know what this previous reviewer was running, but it probably wasn't right. PAS Mag did a review on this amp and it performed amazing. It not only was underrated for power, but its distortion was amazingly low. It requires big power, so be prepared to satisfy this beast.
I agree with the reveiw below this, I don't personally have this amp but a buddy of mine has one in his blazer pushing 4 MA Audio HK15x2s. There is no distortion at all, this amp is amazing, I've heard that system at full tilt and it made my eyes water(not joking) I seriously had a ringing in my ears for a good 5 hours..

to the dissatisfied retard: JL doesnt make a 10000 RMS amp bud.. AND JL w7s are ment to be in sets of 3.. just so you know, you sound very ignorant.
I WENT TO A BASS COMPETITION AND I HEARD THIS ON 4 15'S RE AUDIO, I FORGET WHICH ONES. THIS IS CRAZY LOUD, IT HAD MY HEAD HURTIN FOR LIKE 8 HOURS AND I THINK MY NOSE STARTED TO BLEED
This is the TRUE King-Kong amp of all amps and I'm a JL Audio fan to the heart. If JL Audio made an amp this big and powerful they'll be the best. But until then Hifonics XX-Maxximus is and will be the true King-Kong of amps.
To Chris you are ignorant this amp isnt stable at the ohm a jl w7 calls for... no wonder it didnt work. do your hw next time before you drp 3500 on an amp
to the ignorant that replied to the other ignorant..... jl audio were not ment to be use in sets of 3 jl audio slash series amps cut off in loads under 1.5 ohms...... 3 jl audio depending on size of woofers (12 inch w7 run at 3 ohms and 13.5 run at 1.5 ohms) 3 12 w7 would give u a resistance load of .75 ohms which will cut off any jl audio amp unless u have seperate amps for each woofer which is a must for the w7 in order to get your bang for the buck
i have two of these amps im my 87 suburban pushing 6 soundstream xxx 15" subs and let me tell ya, It Bumps its a comp car but this shit is LOUD. i hit 165.3 db, yea its no joke
i have this amp hooked up to two 15 in holeeS earthquake subs. At my last competition i hit 185.693. also burning out the subs almost directly after the 15 sec run time. This is no baby amp. dont buy this unless you go to comps.
This is a great amp. But I would like to state 2 facts here, 4 JL W7's won't wire up to this amp correctly. So no wonder that guy didn't do well. Also the no one has hit over a 184 dB. Its clear it wasn't on a Term-Lab the most accurate SPL meter in the world. If it was you would probably be surprise to what your actually hitting. The loudest dB read was by Pioneer Premier and it was a 183.7db
I Have 3 of these bad boys hooked up to 8 "15 L7's in my new suburban... WOW. Noone comes close to pushing as much bass as I do. And I bet noone on this site has anything close to mine. True Story
i have this amp on 4-18's in my taho the subs are FI btl series rated at 2000 wats rms i'm running it at 2ohms and 2ch so each subs getting 2500watts each WOW it beats my subs so hard you cant breath in it the amp is awesome
i got 4 of these monsters on 8 re 18's. its in a 2004 civic it hit 220 dbs and blew all my windows out of my neighbors house... I mean come on guys lets lie some more....185 dbs lol
bought 10 of these, hooked em up to 50 18" fi btl. hit like 940 db!!! no joke
