i bought 2 pairs of these speakers for my hummer H3 and they sound so amazingly good. These by far are the best speakers i have ever heard they not only have amazing quilty but bass hits hard and doesn't distort at hi output. I strongly recommend them to anyone that sq matters too.
i have two pairs of these speakers in my jeep wrangler hooked up to a pdx 4.100 and they are sooooo clear. i also have two 10" type r subs hooked up to a pdx 1.1000. this is the best overall system i have heard and is probly one of the best in any jeep wrangler out there
these are the best speakers out there ocs has the best prices these type r's never sound distorted no matter how high the volume i have 2 pairs in my XJ just tune it right and youll be set with my crunch amp they rattled the rearview mirrow off
These speaker are very powerful and durable, so powerful you must apply an amp to make them sing. but even without one the blast your music very well. Alpine for life!!! :-)
These are great i just bought them. I have them hooked up to a F600 amp, and runnin them with type-r component 5 1/4ths in the front. Honestly with 100 rms going to each speaker, it sounds like each speaker is a sub, and they are only 5 inches hahaha these are so awesome.... WARNING YOU WILL BE HAPPY IF YOU BUY THESE AND RUN OFF DECK. BUT IF YOU POWER THEM PROPERLY, YOU WILL BE AMAZED AT THE QUALITY AND HOW HARD THE BASS HITS! I bought a huge ported box for a 12 inch type-r a while back. but with these on a nice amp who needs a sub?
Replaced the factory speakers in my front doors with a pair of these. Unbelievable difference in sound quality. Kicked the power up to them with an Alpine MRP-f300 amp, which brought the performance level to superb. You can't see them in the doors, but when you hit the voilume you know instantly they're in there. A great deal for the price! AND the service from the store here is second to none. Great communication, and lightning fast shipping!!
Paired 2 sets with an Alpine MRP-F300, sounds great (accurate sound reproduction, from what I can tell) -- really should be in a nicer car than mine. Shipping from OCS took a few days but arrived nonetheless and the speakers were factory sealed, as advertised. If you purchase them, power them.
Have these along with the 6x9 type R's and it already sounds great i cannot wait to hook it up to the 4 channel amp i just ordered
I just installed 2 sets of these speakers to replace the factory 5 1/4" versions in my 2000 BMW 528i. What a difference! It sounds so much clearer, and louder without any distortion. There's even a little bass that filters thru and it sounds great; in high pass. I also run a 12" Boston G1 on a Fosgate amp separately. I have all four Type-R's running off of a Hifonics Zeus 800watt amp. So I'm pushing them hard and they can take it. The only problem I have had with these 2 sets, is that the mid-ranges are still not clear enough. But then again, I feel like it's because of the speaker size. I'm sure the mid-ranges sound better on 6x9 Type-R's. Anyhow, it was still a very nice upgrade to my factories, they all sound super, and I still haven't tuned my amp to these Type-R's yet.
Just installed these in an 86 Honda civic hatchback with Clarion deck I had sitting around. Had to do slight modificatation to get these to fit with stock honda cover over them. Even with the stock speaker wire these little speakers sound great and have very nice low end. Was going to add an amp but it's not needed.
