Dont let the specs on this amp fool you. This is a great amp that kicks out way more than what the manual says. I have them hooked up to two JL w3v3-d4 and they hit supppper hard. Clean signal and great quality. Highly recommended and a good deal for the price.
I have this amp on a JL Audio w7 8 and its a perfect match. This amp is rated at 400w but it's pushing more like 530w. If you need about 4 or 5 hundred watts of power this is the way to go.
Im pushing 2 12' P1s with this amp at 4 ohms and its great. Its rated for 400w but the birth sheet came saying its total power is 500ws. At 4 ohms its rated for 151rms making it a perfect match for the P1s because there 4 ohms at 150 rms. Great amp and great site.
I have owned PPI 480, Alpine PDX 4.150, JL Audio 300/2, kicker 08ZX350.2, MTX TA8502 and can tell you that none of those amps come close to this Rockford Fosgate T400-2 in sound quality or raw power. This amp is the best, the highs are clear and sharp and the lows are smooth and very controlled. I am powering a front and rear set of Diamond Audio components, these speakers play very clear and strong with this amp as compared to the jl audio 300/2 I took out. The components cannot take the full power the T400-2 can put out. The treble remote option is superb, you have complete control of your highs and mids, and if you choose to use the amp for bass you have complete control of your low bass boost. These power series amps are just as good as the HD old school amps of the 80's or better. Don't bother looking for a better bargain, you won't find it, these are the best.
