these are some excellent speakers. I blew out my cars front speakers so I went to best buy and listened to all the speakers they had on display and these were the ones that stood out. obviously there are nicer ones but for the price these are outstanding. they have an amazingly balenced sound, crisp highs, but not tinny, and very good lows that have a punch. don't be fooled by the price, anywhere else these are $100 a pair so for $65 these are a steal. these are excellent speakers, and a very valuably upgrade, I just ordered another pair to replace my back speakers (decent sonys) because the difference was so huge. only reason not 10s across the board is because the is allways better but for the price one of the best
very nice speakers, i have them on my rear doors and a sp600c components on the front, shipping was on time, now i only need the matching amp. i'll be getting it next month
I have these in the front door of my car and they sound great. Handles highs and lows very easily and makes the music sound clear. Would highly recommend to anyone very good speakers.
I have a 2008 Civic LX with a Nav Kit. I replaced the rear factory speakers with these and the improvement is impressive. These are entry level speakers that perform like PROs. The sound is driven through a JL Clean Sweep and an Alpine MRP-F300. The clarity is fantastic and the installation was a snap with the included adapter rings. I did Dinamat the back deck where the speakers lie and though I have nothing to compare it to, the combination is night and day when compared to the factory set up. Finally, the price is the lowest I've found online, I could find no one else online who offers free shipping, and the boxes arrived factory sealed as described. All around an excellent product for an truly excellent price. I have used Alpine products since i was 18(I'm 40 now), and they have always made solid products.
I had this speaker and did an upgrade to Pioneer Premier. I then put them in my wifes car. They never had a amp to them ever, just ran them off a Premier deck and now after not even a year old, they pop and crackl. Yes its the speaker nothing els.
I have this set of speakers and the component version hooked up to an autotek 4 channel amp. These speakers sound great with 100 watts rms. Crisp, tweeters are kind of bright.
Bought these speakers a couple of days ago, installed into my 2001 gmc jimmy diamond edition with ease. speakers fit ( bearly ) and the overall install session was relitivly short and painless. the speaker quality is amazing comming from stock, comparing to friends stock premium spaekers these are Prime! good buy good investment good sound good bass ( for a 6.5 ) get yours asap.
I just put these in my 07 frontier. I actually purchased them at BB and after installation I was $200 poorer. I should have bought them here! I did put in the 6x9 3-ways and the CDE-9874, all Alpine. The first time I turned it up, I couldn't believe my ears. SUPER SOUND! I did run these in my stock system and I even shifted more sound to them just to hear the parts of music I had been missing! Now it sounds like I have a sub and amp! Excellent value!
after a couple months of use i decided to post another review. install was easy ( intermediate installer ), in a 01 jimmy diamond edition it didnt fit perfectly but close enough where i could get it in. the sound improvement is atleast 10 times better then my stock system. forawhile i used four of these with my stock head unit and it sounded good, now with my kenwood head unit it sounds even better. im getting an amp in a week or so for them because at higher vol. you can tell they need that little boost. of course the 22 watts my hu puts out is good i just belive the amp will make them "sing". highly recomended for the guy looking for good name brand quality for crappy brand prices.
I've had these speakers for awhile now. They are great and sound good, and if people are looking for speakers look here. I have looked around and this website is great they have the best price on Alpines. Installation was simple and easy. Alpine gets an A on their homework.
I put these in the front doors of my 2003 silverado, and i also put them in my girlfriends 1999 silverado during the same month. All i can say is WOW!!! These things dont distort:)...That is after you break them in. You needa play some hard hitting songs through them for a few hours before you get the best sound from them. I had mine cranked all the way up a few days ago with my pioneer head unit and they didnt distort at all!!:) These are great speakers, and also a great price. I highly recomend anyone to get these....whether your stock speakers are blown(like ours were), or wanting really loud mids and highs, these are the ones for you.
I bought these with a pioneer head unit and a 4 channel thousand watt profile AP-1040 amp (yes i know its not a well known amp) but it is clear as day even when you pump 80 RMS through them. I am about to get an amplifier so i will have an almost entirely Alpine system. Type-S of course.
