Product Reviews For Alpine MRP-M1000

  • Amp gets pretty hot but never shuts off. Sound quality is amazing but could use more than just 3 adjustment options. Overall a fantastic amp for the money. Pushes 1 MTX 9512-44 at 2 ohms at about 14-18 volts (constant with cap)

  • Awesome amp! i have this hooked to two Alpine type R's at 4 ohms. The amp is barely powered up and absolutely bumps. This is the best amp for the money hands down. I shopped around for about 5 months to make sure i got the right hookup. Never have regreted this.

  • Got this amp about a month ago must say sounds awesome. I have it hooked up to 1 Kicker 08VS12L52 running on 2 ohm's and it bumps! Very responsive and pretty nice sound quality. Overall this amp is going to give you high-end quality at a much better price.

  • i had a jl 500/1 going to a directed dvc 10 and an jl 300/4 going to focal 6.5 component and focal 690 cvx's. don't get me wrong these amps are nice but for the price i was expecting fantastic, blow your mind...... but thats not what i got. i got good sound with tempermental equiptment. i talked to my install guy and he told me he used to sell JL untill he started spending most of his time pulling the amps back out and sending them in for warrenty. he told me that he highly recomend alpine. he told me that i could sell the two JL amps and get enough money for two new alpine's that he promised would be louder and sound better. so first i sold the JL 500/1 for the Alpine mrp-m1000. the amp was a lot louder and sounded cleaner, then i sold the JL 300/4 and went with the alpine PDX 4.100 (top of the line) i have the gain on that amp turned up 60% and my head unit vol. turned up half way and it sounds like a live concert in a small venue, loud!!!!!and clean>>>alot cleaner that JL: with all it's fancy controls an it's reduclously high prices. i have been into car stereo for 15 years and have heard a lot of setups and different combos but i think i found one of the best combos. matching the focal speakers with the alpine power was a perfect match. when i turn it up the speakers just sound better and when you keep turning it up, when it gets to the point where you think they can't possibly take any more, they just produce more, and so life like. i my self have had anything from jl to jensen to alpine to phoenix gold (old school) to legacy to pioneer to kenwood and just about every other one out there. take it from how much time and money i have spent looking for the perfect setup. give alpine a try, you probably thinking that an amp that cheap can't possibly be as good as some of it's more expensive realitives, but it is and unlike a lot of other companys alpine rates there amps in true rms wattage so the amp can run 1000 watts. not just max out at 1000 which meanes nothing. good luck.

  • Hey guys, I just bought this amp and put it in my car. I have it hooked up to two Boston acoustics g2's and it makes everything quake in my car. It isn't only a loud rumble, but is a clean loud sound. I don't think I have the correct wiring though, the amp cuts out when the subs get really loud after a while of playing music. My cables aren't big enough (I think they are 10 or 12 gauge) you'll need 8 or 4 gauge wiring to make sure it doesn't cut out on you. However, this is a very good amp for the price and I will recommend this amp to anyone who loves loud, clean bass for a very affordable price that is of Alpine quality.

  • Using on one Type-X 1242D in sealed encloser @ 2 Ohms in '08 F150 regular cab. Sounds great, if you don't have them now you will develop rattles. Amp As other reviews does get quite warm but i have not had any shutoffs. The Wire Posts with set screws are great, make a simple and clean install. Also a capacitor does help, I'll be looking into a High output alternator when i double this system later this summer. Running at 100Amps the factory 110A does keep up, but with headlight and gauge dim, There also are no pre-outs or remote bass control. Overall highly recommend to anyone looking for a quality high power amplifier that will truly produce the freq. and power advertised, Just don't get cheep when wiring. 2ga back to cap 4ga to amp. 8ga to sub.

  • All I can say is this amp is the real deal holyfield. If your lookin for superior performance, this is the way to go. I have it hooked up to 2 10" Cerwin Vega V Max 102 (500RMS) subwoofers. This Combo rocks my car and the subs are turned all the way down on my deck. Provides plenty of power to the subs. You Cant find a better amp for the pricing and its alpine so you know it legit.

  • Ive had many different amps in my time but this one does it for the price range, has the power and clarity and can put out true wattage, not just estimated. I recommend it to anyone looking for a good amp in a midrange price bracket.

  • I have this amp pushing 2 Kicker L5's in a Subzone slotvented box. It performs pretty well. I managed to only put up 141.4 Db's but I think it has to do more with the enclosure than my power.

  • this amp is GREAT i have it pushing 2 12" type Rs and they hit harder then i can even believe the only thing is you will need to get a better battery it kills my battery if i put the volume over 25 but then of course i have a dvd player in my car also i would thing about getting some sound damping equipment because sometimes it feels like my trunk is going to fly open bottom line buy this amp i got it for 299 i told a local retailer that i can get it for the pice on here and they beat it so try a local place first

  • Had this amp hooked up to 1 Alpine type X. It had a good run for a month or so, but, it does draw a lot more current than other 1000w amps. My battery died, then my alternator died. If you're running only 110a alternator, be sure to do the "Big Three", get a drycell battery, and 4ga or larger power and ground wire. I would think a 2nd drycell battery would help too. If anything, a higher output alternator would definitely help.

  • Great deal on the amp. It puts out a true 1000 rms and its alpine. Although they don't come with a birth certificate anymore, im sure its underrated as well. Make sure you have the proper sized wires tho. Now it is hooked up to two fosgate p3d212s sounds nice, scrappin that and got the type r 15 dual 4 ohm 2000 max. hopin its going to sound great.

  • This is by far the best amp I have ever owned I have it pushing 2 Memphis power reference 10"s at 2ohms and I have the alpine Mrp300 pushing my Alpine Type R 6.5" components and my Infinity reference plate 4x6"s in my 2000 sonoma both amps rock I strongly recomend getting both amps for a powerful crisp and very rich sounding audio system. The amps dont even get warm I have had both of them for 1.5 years and have never had a single issue with either one. Go Alpine and you cant go wrong!

  • I have one of these amps hooked up to a cerwin vega vmax 600 watt sub and the sub is begging for more i dont think this amp is worth the money i had a phoenix gold 500.1 amp before and theres not much difference so you tell me

  • Have this amp hooked up to 2 12" type R's and it is a perfect combination. Bass is crisp and clear but can absolutely pound when turned up. Has enough power to make my eyesight blur with the bass, but i would strongly recommend upgraded component speakers with an adequate deck so that the speaker sound is not drowned out with the bass. If you have speakers that are good enough for the subs this system is undescribable. Amp has never failed even after hours of being maxed out. Alpine has taken me out of this world

  • got this hooked up to two 15" rockford fosgate p3 punches in a 2001 civic lx and damn, its a banging hook up, bass is loud when blasted, and hits good even at low volumes, the double bass kicks in metal sound brutal, and hip hop just tears my car a new one. It set a 2 ohms and I barely have the gained turned up that much and it hits hard. great buy, alpine wont let you down

  • I have this amp pushing 2 P2 12s and it's more than than enough clean Window rattling setting off car alarm power. Blows my friend old school M50 to a 15" L7 away. No contest
