amazing woofers! thats all i can say. i have only 1800 watts powering both these 10's, and let me tell you they POUND!!! im saving my money to get a 4000 watt Memphis amp, ill comment again when i get it
real good subs but make sure they are in nothing but a ported box if your listening to hip hop/rap. real good SQ in sealed box but guaranteed to burn the voice coils.
I owned two type r's in a ported box, and I wanted to change to a subwoofer that would have better sound quality. I was concerned from going to two twelves to one ten, but was I wrong. The sound quality from an R to X is so big. Get one type x in a custom box, and it will destroy almost any subwoofer; also can not beat the price of ocs so buy it here!!
this thing is ridiculous. for the price, it cant be beat. this thing hits hard. I have one of these in my single cab truck and it is plenty, even for me. went from two jl 12 to this and couldn't be happier. great product, shipped fast, like two days, and hits great.
Man, the type x go hard. I have one of these in my gmc sonoma. The keep me bobbing my head everyday to work. I've also have the twelves in my silverado. I can't until the Friday's and park my lil work horse, and get in my ladies puller.
i have a 99 f150 single cab and i love this sub. i bridged my kicker 850.2 to this and my sub just wants more its ridiculous. with this one 10 setup its hard to believe but it actually blurs my vision and starts to tickle the back of my throat. i have it in a ported box i built myself ~ 1.25 cf 36 hz. cant quite pull a hair trick but it tries so hard lol
Just doin a follow up on the X now that its broken in. It just keeps getting better everytime i listen to it. i havent put it on a db meter yet but im sure its in the 140's. i have shut up 4 12's 2 15's. not off brand either. But my new nickname for this is the rockford killer lol my buddy has a rockford setup for sq. my type x is ported and hits a better range than his sealed. we listened to a song the other day and the first thing he says is "man i had no idea that note was on there" lol. and i shut up 2 15 P2's in a extended cab nissan pushing more watts than i am lol
I have just one of these hooked up to a jl 500v2 in my 2000 ford mustang coupe and ohhhh baby this sub pounds yet is the cleanest i've ever heard. Never will i regret buying this subwoofer.
This sub pounds, I have two of them hooked up to a Hifonics 2600w. The sound quality is great, and man does it pound.
This sub is amazing. I have one of these in a ground shaker ported box in my 02 monte carlo. HIts soo hard, high an low. I have a hifonics 1600 mono. wont regret buyn this sub.
finally got one of these tens in my custom made vented 1.75 cu/ft enclosure ported @ 35hz.. i am using an old pos kenwood 1000watt amp.. and this ten POUNDS!!! im not even kidding the bass is so loud, yet so clear.. when its not even worn in, its getting maybe 500 watts total to it when it is asking for more.. its unbelievable.. blows my mind away.. everyones that heard it so far was amazed.. i have one ten louder than 2 12"s 2 10"s and 2 15"s .. these type Xs do NOT joke around.. idk.. maybe its how i have my whole system set up, but even so.. with the sub.. i garuntee im up in the 140s... we'll see..
i have one 10 in a ported box i made running on a kicker 08zx1000. have it prolly around 700 watts and it blows away any system ive been in.obviously theres better syetems out there..every person that sits in my back seat asks how many subs i have ha!

This sub is awesome, and I have only had it for 2 hours so shes not even worked in yet. The girlfriend and I had to stop to take a break, ears were numb. This is just the 1 10 If your looking to upgrade your Type-R with one of these beasts, I highly reccomend it! Just as loud as the Type-R but with more accuracy at high volumes At just over $200 on this site you can't go wrong. I now know I didn't
WOW. i have a SS 5000w amp pushing this bad boy in a 1.30" ported box in my 1982 280zx.. it is a BEAST. i have the amp setup to push 1500w rms to the sub and it handles it so well. i could probably turn it up more. i need to buy new speakers soon cuz they can barly keep up with the massive amount of bass ozzing from this sub. it looks great. has huge power for a 10" and the price is more than resonable. i came form a type R 10" and its hits about twice as hard and the bass has a much better range especially on the high end. people ask how many subwoofers i have haha. once again, just another great alpine product.
I had 1 of these 10" in a ported box, alpine 1000w mono block digital amp, absolute 2 farad cap, in a scion tc. It only took 2 weeks for the vibrations to break the headliner clips. Amazing looking and sounding sub. People thought i had 2 12" subs. Not as good as JL w7s...but 1/2 the price, and just as banging. Careful with them. They are very loud. The 10" sub is great for tight fast bass....but this monster can hit those subsonic lows also.
This sub is a beast, have had it over three years and still pounds hard. Custom made box is definitely the way to go, got it in a custom ported box running off a 1600 watt MBQUART amp, which is hooked up through a capacitor. Alpines the best, have had all sorts of subs : audiobahn, kicker solos, Memphis, even Rockford fostgates. Sub hits clean, hard, and low!!
badass, loud, clean sub. Mine was stolen and I got another one.
Best money spent on a speaker have no complains. Sounds great, performs awsome, and thumps hard for a 10". Do recommend
