The RS6, RS5, and RS4 Matched Component Systems combine a pair of Resolution R6c, R5c, or R4c midbass/midrange drivers, a pair of Resolution silk-dome tweeters, and a pair of 18dB/octave impedance-compensated two-way crossover/protection networks. In addition to conventional flush and surface swivel mounting options, Resolution Matched Component Systems are supplied with an innovative tweeter mounting post - the tweeter may be mounted directly to the center of the mid by unscrewing the phase plug from the mid and screwing in the tweeter post assembly. This yields all the advantages of a coaxial speaker - like enhanced soundstage/imaging and easier installation - without sacrificing the superior performance of separate components. The RS6 and RS5 feature the one-inch R25 tweeter and the R6c and R5c mids, respectively; the RS4 uses the 3/4-inch R19 tweeter and R4c mid. Each crossover system is designed to maximize the interaction of the drivers it supports. Since not all vehicles provide optimum mounting positions for the components, a variable tweeter attenuator is built into each crossover. The attenuator's 1.5dB steps allow balancing the output levels of the tweeters to match the mids regardless of position in the installation. Resolution Matched Component Systems come complete with grilles, mounting hardware for numerous installation options, and wiring harness.
