SURROUND: The taller, narrower surround increases cone surface area which means more air displacement, which gives way to greater efficiency. Also, since the, surround is taller, it creates a longer excursion with the same linear control.
CONE: This series of subwoofers features a high-gloss cone made from high-strength carbon composite with laminated pulp reinforcement. The cone is much sturdier than paper cones, allowing for more aggressive operation.
I have 2 of these beasts, powered by an Infinity 1600a running 400rms @ 4ohms. I can be heard a block away. I have these in a small ported box 1.20cu ft. Been complimented i dont know how many times as to how these bad boys sound and how hard they hit. Not to mention i have out banged a few cars running 2 12s from 500rms to 900rms, and im only pushing 400rms. Great bang for the buck and supreme quality behind these subs! Also you get a pretty cool wood box they come in, a setup booklet with wiring options and many other good things to know about, hex wrench and audiobahn sticker. WELL WORTH THE MONEY. I plan on buying 2 more.
