I just got a pair of these yesterday,I have them in a 1.25,per side sealed enclosure. Nice sub's great value,I have heard and had better,maybe they will get better after the 30,day breakin time,still kicker is an awesome speaker builder,and I am happy with my purchase.
i have one of these in a ported enclosure hooked up to a Kicker ZX 300.1 amp and it HITS!!!!!!! im running it below the RMS rating and it still hits harder than any thing i've seen in my area. Excellent price definatley more bang for the buck.... would like to get two 12" however just to see how deaf i can actually get
i had 2 of these subs in my regular cab gmc sierra in single truck boxes hooked up to a power acoustik gothic series 520 watt amp, and they POUNDED!! me and my friends drove around campus while tailgating before football games, and people heard us coming from over 1/2 mile away. these are great subs, and very well worth the money
The subs worked great at first, but one of the two I set up blew for NO reason. It was about 20 months old. They are 400w RMS each and I was powering the two with 600w RMS (so, 300 RMS to each sub). That's 100 below RMS and the subs max is 800w per sub. ONE SUB BLEW! The other one still works, but one no longer works. There was no reason for this. Just something to think about.
I have bought four of these woofers,and i got to tell you. If you go even close to the RMS wattage,you better hope your warranty is still good.BOOM,BOOM-----BOOM more bass.
Running 2 of these in a 3 cu ft. sealed box off a JL 500/1 at 2 ohms in my 88' chevy regular cab truck. HU is a pioneer premiere DEH-960MP. The amp bench tested at 604 watts and these handle that easily. I don't normally have them cranked up, but if you feed them power they will move. They are nicely crisp at normal to elevated listening levels. Once you start cranking them to the high end they do start to get sloppy though. A great sub for the money if you like mostly tight bass. If you're looking for lots of boomyness they're probably not for you though. Had them installed for about 1.5 yrs. and they're still doing fine.
these subs have been the best i have owned so far i used to have 2 mtx subs and compared to the the kickers rock. they push so hard. i cant even listen to them at full volume, they are ear shattering. anyone looking for a really great sub for a low cost should really buy these
i didnt bought from here their one of the best subs for the money i had gotten. i got 2 running 2ohm total bridged with 1400w crunch amp turned down almost all the way hits hard will hit harder in a vent box
I've had these subs for close to two years and they still beat just as loud and clear as the day I bought them. I can out bump everyone around and the sound quality is fenomenal. I'm runnin them with an Eclipse 800w amp. I would recommend anyday for a penny-pincher lookin to draw attention.
I got 2 in a 1.75 slot ported with 500 watts to each and they hit pretty dam good for what they are. Lost my mirror before they where even broken in ALL the way.
I have owned a total of 4 of these subs over the past couple years and have managed to blow all 4 of them. The first 2 went out slowly which was odd because I was only pumping about 500 watts into them but I later bought the kicker amp that does 1000 watt rms and 2500 watt peak which for the record call and will blow 2 of these subs if you wore them up through 2 olm. These two speakers lasted about 3 days this last go around. They sound great I just think I was trying to always push them too hard but overall good speakers just be careful pumping crazy amounts of bass through them or they will blow.
