By far the greatest budget Comps ever!! Reviews are going crazy on the web about these bad boys. Feeding mine 150rms per side of a Alpine PDX 2.150 and they are crazy. Fully recommend, easily keeps up with speakers 2-3x its price.
These I feel are easily the best value for your money.These are some of the best components available regardless of price,they have it all, great dynamic range they go as low as most 8" speakers and the highs are great without being harsh and will handle just about all the power you can feed them I am running mine from a kicker zx 7005 amp they I can turn them up all the way with no distortion at all and they sound beautiful the only thing is mounting depth they are almost 3" required other then that, that is the only drawback. I was lucky my car took them with no problem. I most highly recomend these with no hesitation.
I wanted a complete package by the same company, and that I could get under $200. I decided to go with this and the Phoenix Gold RSd690. I am really impressed with the comp. The tweets are not harsh, and the mids are durable. However I'm not liking the flush mount, the clamp/spring doesn't grip like I want, no matter how much you tighten it. I also don't like that fact the tweeters are not secure enough for me in its case. I would like to see it lock and not move as much. But for the price this is a really good set of comps.
These things play low real low. they sound as good as most eight" subs
Great component set for the money! Highs are bright but not overly harsh and very good SQ and balanced overall. I have them istalled in the doors of my '90 Silverado (PG 4x6 in the dash) running off my Pioneer DEH-P5100UB head unit!?. They are comparable to Infinity Reference or Kappa series. Can't wait to get a PG 4 channel amp to power them. Phoenix Gold is BACK!!!!
