INCREDIBLE, two thumbs way up- that's all I have to say about this unit. Don't think twice if you are looking for a professional reliable, easy to use head unit.
I am sooo disapointed with this Alpine. I have owned 3 Alpines and was sad to see them sell this cd player with such a dim display and NO contrast adjustments. The dim display makes this unit almost worthless to me (I'll bet its on in this photo). It is just adequate at night, barely visible on a cloudy day, and appears to be off on a sunny day. I called Alpine's tech support and they gave no help. No Alpine dealer will exchange it, since it's been installed. Buyers beware. If you buy this cd player, check the display in your car before a full install, so you can return it if need be.
I like this stereo and it looks good in my dash. MP3's play fast and sound great. The display information is difficult to read when the glare hits it. Would be nice to have a dim feature (I think the more expensive models have it) otherwise very satisfied.

I love this deck alot. I have it pushin 2 15 inch kicker comp vr's and it sounds awsome it is a good newbie deck.. ull love it..
This is a great cd player. it has alot of options that take awhile to figure out. the only thing that i think is bad about this cd player is the LCD you can barly see the screen during the day so you dont know what you are doing but at night this thing is PIMP! if you got $$$249 dollars to spend get this cd player. my brother has the same one but a older model and he has his for 6 years and it still plays excellent!!! so i advise you to BUY IT!
Alpine has been synonomous with good car audio for a long time and this head unit lives up to their name. It's a solid performer both on it's own or while using amplifiers to power your system. The setup of the unit makes sense, but not to the beginner who might have trouble with the concept of pushing more than one button to access menus and options. It won't WOW your friends with bright flashy graphics and seldom used options, but the sound quality is all Alpine and the reliability factor goes a long way on a head unit like this as most people shopping at this price range are looking for a solid investment that they don't intend to change out in a year like most car audio enthusiasts. Use this deck to build a solid system with good sound quality.
This deck is awesome besides the fact that u cant see hardly nething during the night. i love the b-out on it at night it helps out during the dark evenings when that extra glare isnt needed. The sound enhancement is great. I would recommend this to anyone who isnt satisfied with there deck and who is new to the area of car audio!!
I love my Alpine. This is my second oneand I'll only have a alpine from now on.

i read that alot of people couildnt see the display very well, but i have it in my truck and i could see the display just fine in the bright sun and in rainy weather as well, the sound quality is outstanding and if you know how to use it right the features are really nice as well, it think it is possibly one of the better cd players i have ever owned
well as im an avid audio upgrader, and am building my system to perform in sound competitions i have decided to go with this head unit because of the time correction sound eq, it allows you to get the most from your speakers and makes it sound perfect, im guarunteed to win in SQL.
