Why Choose Rockford Fosgate P152 Full Range Car Speakers?
FlexFit Basket Design
Fanatics that need a great sounding speaker to replace factory-installed garbage will certainly benefit from this Punch series full-range speaker. The P152 offers a Flex Fit™ basket to ensure compatibility with odd shaped factory speaker locations and an ICC (Integrated Concealed Crossover), eliminating the need to mount any black boxes.
Powerful Music
Rockford Fosgate showcases their fanatical commitment to sonic excellence in the Punch Series of speakers, amps, and subs. If you like to listen to potent, powerful music — and feel it too — Punch components will give you impressive sound that'll stand out in a crowd. Take a closer look and you'll notice a couple of cool innovations. The slots around the frame eliminate the need to redrill screw holes when the factory holes are just a little bit off. And these speakers come with adapter plates that allow them to fit into 6"x8" speaker openings.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
- • Why do the speakers sound quieter than my factory speakers?
Check the head unit's output level, wiring, polarity, and mounting. Factory systems can use built-in equalization or amplification, so an aftermarket speaker may need proper tuning or additional amplification.
- • Why do I hear buzzing or crackling from one speaker?
Inspect the speaker terminals, wiring, and mounting hardware for loose connections. Damaged wires, poor grounds, or electrical interference can also create unwanted buzzing or crackling through the speakers.
- • Can I power these directly from my factory stereo?
Yes, they can be powered by many factory head units. However, available power varies by vehicle, and an aftermarket amplifier can provide additional headroom and cleaner output at higher volume levels.
- • Why does the sound distort when I turn up the volume?
Distortion can occur when the factory radio or amplifier reaches its limits. Reduce the volume slightly, avoid excessive equalizer boosts, and consider additional amplification if more output is needed.
- • Why is one side louder than the other?
Start by checking the stereo's balance and fade settings. Then inspect both speaker connections for loose wires, damaged terminals, or reversed polarity that could cause uneven output between the channels.
- • Why do I hear rattling after installing the new speakers?
Check the mounting screws, speaker brackets, door panels, and surrounding trim. Stronger speaker output can expose loose hardware or interior panels that were not noticeable with the original speakers.
- • Why do the high frequencies sound too sharp?
Excessive treble can be caused by the head unit's equalizer, speaker placement, or vehicle acoustics. Reduce the treble gradually and adjust the system until the high frequencies sound balanced.
- • Why does the sound become weak after changing the wiring?
Incorrect polarity can cause phase cancellation between speakers, reducing certain frequencies. Make sure the positive and negative terminals are connected consistently throughout the vehicle's speaker system.
- • Will I need mounting brackets or wiring adapters?
That depends on the vehicle. Some installations require speaker brackets, wiring harnesses, or adapters to match the factory mounting pattern and connectors for a secure and clean installation.
- • How can I get cleaner sound at higher volume?
Use a clean source signal, avoid excessive equalizer boosts, and ensure the speakers are securely mounted. A properly matched amplifier can provide additional headroom and reduce strain on the factory stereo.

Good buy for me money. Clear, loud, and durable. I have mine in a Jeep, and they've never let me down. I'm about to upgrade to the T1652-S, and I just hope they impress me as much as these did.

Not highly impressed with the bass, but the mids and highs are quite good.
