The Rockford Fosgate P300-12 Class-D Amplified Subwoofer is all about delivering serious bass in a clean, self-contained setup. You get a 12-inch high-output woofer, a 300-watt RMS Class-D amplifier, and a sealed MDF enclosure all perfectly matched and pre-tuned from the start. This closed-loop design means everything is engineered to work together, so you are not wasting time trying to match amps or boxes. Just drop it in and you instantly get deep, controlled bass that feels tight, efficient, and ready for real-world listening.
This system makes installation surprisingly easy thanks to its quick disconnect power and ground terminal that supports up to 4-gauge wiring. That means you can install it fast or remove it just as easily when you need extra cargo space. It also plays nice with any setup, accepting both RCA and speaker-level inputs with Hi or Lo switching, so it fits factory systems and aftermarket builds without drama. On top of that, smart auto turn-on tech with REM, DC offset, and signal sensing ensures it powers up exactly when your system does, no manual switching required.

Once it is running, the P300-12 gives you full control over how your bass feels inside the cabin. The adjustable 12dB/oct low-pass crossover lets you dial in frequencies from 50Hz to 200Hz so the sub blends cleanly with your main speakers. You can add up to +12dB of bass boost centered at 45Hz for extra punch when the track calls for it, and use the 0° or 180° phase switch to lock in tight timing with your system. With built-in protection against heat, voltage spikes, and short circuits plus a wired Punch Level Control for real-time adjustment from the driver’s seat, this sub stays powerful, safe, and always ready to hit harder when you need it.

I purchased this item a few weeks back for my 2003 Mercedes E-500. The car has the standard Mercedes car stereo by harmon kardon, nothing else. I wanted a little more depth for the existing system without the hassle of a huge box and a ton of money. I purchased a amp install kit from radio shack and had at it. Install time for myself was 40 min or less. It was really easy. As far as the sound, WOW! Seriously Outstanding. It was not that childish stuff you hear driving through your neighborhood occasionally. It was very clean. But it can punch , once dialed in. Also as I used it more it sounded better. I think it needed too break in. I've owned the Bazooka amplified sub for my silverado and this was cheaper.
I bought this to replace my infinity 10 basslink (which i had for years) finally blew out. Put the rockford in my F150 extended cab and what a difference. Hits harder than i had expected. Good sound.......and clean for a 12. Fits in the back perfectly.
