I bought the Soundstream ST1.1000D to power a basic 12" kicker subwoofer. It sounded very nice but it would always go on protection once i would try to raise the volume. I tried multiple subwoofers, ensure that all wires are correct, and still no luck. Buy it only if you are not planning playing loud music or space is an issue. Pros- small as an adult shoe looks good plain and simple cons- does not push the advertise RMS must use 10 ga or 12 ga wiring for your power and ground
you should use no less than 8 gauge to wire power on a amp 500 rms also i would always over kill with 4 ga. if i can . sounds like some other problem with the other reviewers set up that was causing the amp to go into protect
