Highly Efficient Design

The Power T750X1bd 750 Watt mono, ultra-compact amplifier is built on Rockford Fosgate’s patented Class bd technology platform. This design creates a highly efficient design that reduces the electrical impact on the vehicles charging system by using the efficient Class D technology while maintaining fidelity, combining it with Class B topology.

Has Integrated Auto Turn-On Capabilities

Flexible vehicle integration is achieved via a configurable input harness with Molex-style connectivity that accepts both RCA and speaker-level signals, while our differential input circuitry eliminates signal noise from entering the amplifier resulting in a clean audio signal. When using speaker-level input signals, the amplifier also has integrated auto turn-on capabilities and converts its remote input terminal to an output that can be used to turn on additional amplifiers.

C.L.E.A.N. Level Setting System

This can eliminate the need of sourcing a separate remote turn-on signal for the amplifier from the vehicle. Top-mounted controls allow easy access to the built-in low-pass crossover, patented Punch EQ boost circuit and our patented C.L.E.A.N. input/output clip detection circuits. The 3-stage thermal lock extrusion with dual fan forced induction keeps everything cool while our real-time thermal/protection schemes safeguard the amplifier in the event of overheating or short circuit conditions. The unit is also compatible with our Punch PLC2 remote level controller and is ideal for those installations where you need a compact amplifier that can produce high output power.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

  • • Why does the amplifier keep going into protection mode?
Protection can be caused by overheating, an incorrect subwoofer load, shorted speaker wiring, or poor power and ground connections. Check impedance, terminals, ventilation, and wiring before operating the system again.
  • • Why does it shut off when the bass hits hard?
A shutdown during heavy bass can indicate insufficient electrical current or an unsuitable speaker load. Check the battery, charging system, power wiring, ground connection, and subwoofer impedance before increasing output.
  • • Why is there no bass even though the amplifier turns on?
Check the RCA connections, gain, low-pass filter, remote level control, and subwoofer wiring. Confirm the head unit is sending a signal and verify the speaker terminals are securely connected with correct polarity.
  • • Why does the amplifier get extremely hot?
Some heat is expected, but excessive temperature can indicate poor airflow, a low speaker impedance, or prolonged operation at high output. Provide adequate ventilation and verify the subwoofer load matches the specifications.
  • • Why does the subwoofer sound distorted?
Distortion can come from excessive gain, bass boost, or clipping from the source. Reduce gain and EQ boosts, then verify the amplifier receives a clean signal and the subwoofer is operating within its limits.
  • • Why do I hear a whining noise from the subwoofer?
Engine-speed-related noise is commonly associated with grounding or electrical interference. Check the amplifier ground and RCA connections, and route signal cables separately from power cables whenever possible.
  • • Can I connect a dual voice coil subwoofer?
Yes, as long as the voice coils are wired to create a final impedance supported by the amplifier. Calculate the resulting load before connecting, since too-low impedance can cause protection or excessive heat.
  • • Why isn't the subwoofer producing as much output as expected?
Check the gain, input signal, speaker wiring, enclosure, and final impedance. Also verify the power and ground cables are properly sized and securely connected, since inadequate electrical supply can limit performance.
  • • Why does the bass change when I adjust the crossover?
The low-pass crossover controls which frequencies reach the subwoofer. If the setting is too high or low, bass can sound weak or muddy. Adjust it gradually while listening for a smooth blend with the main speakers.
  • • What should I check if the amplifier suddenly stops working?
Check the main fuse, power and ground connections, remote turn-on wire, and speaker wiring. If those are secure, inspect for overheating or protection activation before reconnecting the system.
