Why Choose Pioneer TS-G1620F Full Range Car Speakers?
Accurate Mid and Low-frequency Performance
Consider upgrading to the budget-friendly Pioneer TS-G1620F if you're looking to replace your current 6.5-inch car speakers. This option offers full-range audio, potentially eliminating the need for an extra subwoofer or tweeter. Its polypropylene cone and rubber-coated cloth surround enable precise mid and low-frequency sound reproduction while minimizing distortion. These components also enhance durability, safeguarding the speaker during extended use at high volumes.
Produce Clear and Bright Highs
Featuring a 1-3/16-inch polyethylene terephthalate tweeter with a sleek low-profile design, the Pioneer TS-G1620F delivers vibrant high frequencies within confined car interiors. Its Progressive Flex Suspension System Spider supports the voice coil and dampens cone vibrations for enhanced audio quality. With a power capacity of 40 Watts RMS and 300 Watts peak power at 4 ohms impedance, this speaker ensures powerful performance.
Extensive Low-frequency Range Response
With its frequency response of 31 Hz up to 18 kHz and sensitivity rate of 89 dB, this full-range speaker has an extensive low-frequency range response, which is perfect, as you won't need to add subwoofers on your audio system, and it can also go loud quickly with minimal distortion.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
- • Will these speakers work with my factory car stereo?
Yes. They are compatible with most factory and aftermarket head units, although adding an external amplifier can improve overall volume and sound quality.
- • Why do they sound distorted at higher volumes?
Distortion is often caused by amplifier clipping, excessive bass boost, or an underpowered head unit. Lowering the volume or using a properly matched amplifier can help eliminate the problem.
- • Why is there very little bass after installing the new speakers?
Weak bass is commonly caused by reversed speaker polarity or poor sealing between the speaker and the door. Double-check the wiring and ensure the speakers are mounted securely.
- • Will these fit my factory speaker openings?
They fit many vehicles that accept 6-1/2-inch speakers, but installation requirements vary by vehicle. Some applications may require mounting brackets or wiring adapters.
- • Why does one speaker stop working intermittently?
A loose wiring connection, damaged speaker wire, or poor terminal contact is usually the cause. Inspect the wiring and connectors before assuming the speaker has failed.
- • Can I connect these to an aftermarket amplifier?
Yes. They are compatible with properly matched aftermarket amplifiers and can deliver better performance when supplied with clean power.
- • Why do my door panels rattle after upgrading the speakers?
Higher-output speakers often reveal vibrations from loose trim panels or factory mounting points. Adding sound-deadening material and tightening the hardware can greatly reduce rattles.
- • Do these require a break-in period?
Yes. Playing music at moderate listening levels for several hours allows the suspension to loosen naturally and improves overall sound quality.
- • Why do the speakers produce crackling or popping sounds?
Crackling noises are typically caused by damaged wiring, clipped amplifier signals, or a defective audio source. Check the wiring, source unit, and amplifier settings to isolate the issue.
- • Can these handle different types of music?
Yes. Their full-range design is suitable for a wide variety of music genres, including rock, pop, hip-hop, country, and electronic music.

surely an upgrade from my stock Honda speakers. nothing too spectacular but surely does the job for the price

Swapped these in to replace my stock and the difference was noticeable right away. It's really way better, but don't expect too much bass. You still might need to buy a new subwoofer for that. Still a solid upgrade over factory speakers.

Good value speakers. Installed them in my wife’s Corolla and she immediately noticed the difference in clarity. Don’t expect earth-shaking bass, but for everyday listening, they sound fantastic.
