Made specifically for 2014-and-newer Harley-Davidson bikes, these lids for factory bags are made by bike owners – for bike owners. The bag lids are engineered in-house for superior durability and sound quality, with gasketing, grilles and mounting hardware included. The vivid black finish is ready to make your ride look as sharp as ever.
1. Remove the factory lids, latch, and hinge assembly.
2. Install the factory latch and hinge assembly to your new KICKER lids using the factory screws.
3. Install the speakers by rotating the speaker from the back side of the lid, through the opening of the lid, and positioning the speaker to line up with the holes. Install the two front screws through the speaker into the lid.
4. Place the bracket on the back side of the speaker. Install a bolt through the bracket and speaker from the back side, then position the speaker nut on top and tighten. Using the factory screw, attach the outside of the bracket to the lid.
5. Install the factory latch lever using the factory screw and the supplied rubber grommet.
6. Install the supplied grilles to the lids using the supplied screws.
7. If you have installed the KICKER Front Kit, locate the 4-pin connector under the seat of the motorcycle. Connect the included wiring harness to the 4-pin plug under the seat. Connect the portion of the harness that will connect the lid speakers to the front amp, and route the left and right 2-pin connectors to a location adjacent to the bag attachment area of the motorcycle.
Note: If the motorcycle has not already been flashed for rear speakers, it will now be necessary to flash it for a 4-speaker setup using the KICKER flash programmer or the Techno Research Centurion. Follow the Flash Programmer instructions to complete this task. Set the gain to optimize sound quality and enjoy!
8. Drill a 3/4” hole in each bag as shown, and install the supplied rubber grommets.
9. Using the included zip tie mounts and zip ties, route each wire as shown in the picture to secure the bag harness.
10. Install the lids to the bags.
11. Connect the speaker wires to the speaker (the terminals are sized for the correct terminal). Route the wire to the opposite side of the speaker and secure it with a zip tie to the square hole in the tab at the base of the magnet to ensure the wire does not get caught on any gear in the bag.
