Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
- • Why does the sound seem weak after installation?
Check amplifier power, gain, crossover settings, and speaker wiring. These 350-watt RMS speakers require proper amplification for their full output.
- • Why does the sound distort at high volume?
Check amplifier clipping, gain settings, and available power. Improper powering can cause distortion or potentially damage the speakers.
- • Why is the bass weaker than expected?
Check crossover settings, polarity, amplifier output, and mounting. Proper tuning helps maximize the strong low-frequency response from the 10-inch drivers.
- • Why is one speaker louder than the other?
Check balance settings, polarity, wiring, and amplifier channels. Swapping channels can help determine whether the problem follows the speaker.
- • Why doesn't the speaker fit my existing opening?
Check the required 9.45-inch cutout and 4.72-inch mounting depth. Measure available space carefully before modifying the mounting location.
- • Why aren't the RGB lights working?
The RGB lighting requires a compatible controller, sold separately. Check the RGB wiring, connections, power supply, and controller settings.
- • Why does the tweeter stop working after installation?
Check the tweeter connector and wiring behind the grille. Make sure the connector is securely attached and the wires are routed correctly.
- • Why does the grille seem difficult to install?
Make sure the tweeter and RGB wires are properly routed. Incorrect wire placement can prevent the grille from sitting correctly.
- • Why does the audio cut out after getting wet?
Inspect speaker terminals, wiring, and connectors for moisture or corrosion. Secure all connections properly to prevent intermittent audio problems.
- • Can these speakers be used with a factory stereo?
They can work with a compatible source, but factory power may limit performance. A properly matched amplifier is recommended for higher output levels.
