Why Choose Wet Sounds ICON 8-B FC SS V2 Marine Speakers?
Wakeboard Tower Speaker for Marine Audio
Experience full midbass and crisp, detailed highs with this high-performance 8-inch wakeboard tower speaker, perfect for boats and marine environments. Its two-way driver design pairs an 8" composite cone midbass driver with a grille-mounted 1" horn-loaded titanium (HLT) tweeter for clean, full-range sound, while the reinforced composite enclosure and stainless steel hardware provide rugged, long-lasting marine-grade durability.
Reliable Tower Speaker Mounting with Integrated Audio
Mount your speakers securely with TC3 fixed clamps that fit tubing from 1.875"–3.0" in diameter, allowing quick removal and reattachment. The integrated passive crossover ensures smooth, rich sound by properly tuning frequencies to the drivers, while the built-in wiring harness with red (positive) and black (negative) wires allows for fast, hassle-free connection and disconnection.
Compact 8-Inch Marine Speakers Built to Last
Engineered with marine-tough materials including a polyurethane surround, reinforced enclosure, and UV inhibitors, these speakers resist saltwater, sun, and harsh marine conditions. Offering full 8" performance in a compact form factor similar to 6.5" speakers, they maximize space without sacrificing sound, and are available in Gloss Black or Gloss White with UV protection for lasting style.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
- • What amplifier power do these speakers require?
Each speaker handles 150 watts RMS and 300 watts peak at 4 ohms. Use a compatible amplifier with clean power to prevent damage.
- • Why does the sound distort at high volume?
Distortion can result from amplifier clipping, excessive gain, or poor audio quality. Check your wiring and amplifier settings before raising the volume.
- • Will the stainless steel clamps fit my boat tower?
The fixed clamps fit tubing measuring 1 7/8 to 3 inches in diameter. Measure your tower before installation to confirm compatibility.
- • Why is the bass weaker than expected?
The 8-inch composite woofers provide strong midbass but limited deep bass. Adding a compatible marine subwoofer improves low-frequency performance.
- • Can wakeboarders hear music clearly behind the boat?
The titanium tweeters help deliver clear highs over long distances. Proper positioning and sufficient amplifier power improve sound coverage.
- • Why does one speaker sound quieter than the other?
Uneven output may result from loose wiring, incorrect polarity, or amplifier issues. Check the connections and balance settings.
- • Can these speakers handle saltwater and sunlight?
The reinforced enclosures and marine-grade materials are designed for boating conditions. Rinse off salt residue and inspect the hardware for corrosion.
- • Do these speakers include RGB lighting?
Built-in RGB lighting is not included. A compatible optional lighting ring kit may be purchased separately.
- • How can I prevent rattling during boat rides?
Loose clamps or tower components can cause unwanted vibrations. Tighten the mounting hardware and inspect the attachment points.
- • What should I check if the speakers stop working?
Inspect the amplifier fuse, power supply, wiring, and audio source. Turn off the system before checking the connections.
