Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
- • What amplifier works best with these tower speakers?
Choose an amplifier delivering 300 watts RMS per speaker at 4 ohms. Set the gain correctly to help prevent distortion and damage.
- • Can I mount these speakers on my boat's deck or tower base?
The swivel surface-mount design attaches to a suitable flat mounting surface. Check available space and mounting strength before installation.
- • Why does the sound distort at high volume?
Distortion can result from amplifier clipping, excessive gain, or poor audio quality. Lower the volume and check your wiring and settings.
- • Can riders hear music while wakeboarding behind the boat?
The 10-inch woofers and titanium horn drivers help project clear sound over long distances. Proper positioning and sufficient amplifier power improve coverage.
- • Can I swivel or remove the speakers for storage?
The swivel surface-mount system allows directional adjustment and speaker removal. Follow the mounting instructions to ensure secure installation and safe handling.
- • Why is one speaker quieter than the other?
Uneven sound may result from loose wiring, balance settings, or amplifier issues. Check connections and audio settings before replacing components.
- • Do these speakers provide enough bass without a subwoofer?
The 10-inch Kevlar-reinforced woofers deliver strong midbass. Add a compatible marine subwoofer for deeper low-frequency performance.
- • Can I connect them directly to my boat stereo?
An external amplifier is recommended to achieve their 300-watt RMS performance. Check your stereo's output and 4-ohm compatibility before installation.
- • Why do the speakers vibrate or rattle while boating?
Loose mounting hardware or vibrating panels can cause unwanted noise. Inspect the mounting base and fasteners, then tighten them according to the instructions.
- • Do these speakers include RGB lighting?
No, built-in RGB lighting is not included with this version. A compatible REV10 RGB light ring kit is available separately.
