Tarantula subwoofers have grown to meet various performance and placement goals in recent years, keeping your, the Soundstream fanatic, suggestions in mind. However, more often than not, we hear your calls to bring back a legend.
Improvements include direct connect wire leads, over-saturated 12mm top plate and t-yoke, & double-stitched cone to high-density polyether foam surround for improved sound quality. Key components that you expect from T5 remain; big ass 3” voice coil, a triple-stack magnet assembly, high-density Spruce pulp sub-cone, and the iconic black-on-black Soundstream Spider. The T5 can handle a lot of power, so be sure to choose a suitable amplifier as these bass monsters want lots of power.
Its different impedance configurations offer wiring flexibility you’ll appreciate as your system changes and grows, so you can always pull maximum power from your amp. It works well in sealed and ported enclosures, so you can choose what kind of bass you want to hear and feel.

The tarantula T5 10" is a little known gem. I can name five brands of go to woofers that people love to run that I have also ran that I will put these up against any time any place any day. 900rms? I HOPE you have at LEAST 1200 RMS to run to each one - that is s VERY conservative rating. I've been running 3kRMS (1500 each) to a pair and they LOVE it and ask for more. If you know about speaker specs building components etc then you can easily see that for the price these they are up there with speakers twice the cost. Do not hesitate to buy tarantula T5 and recommend to all your bass head Buddies. ... Do NOT Fall into the trap of a certain brand whose 20% off holiday sale changes with every holiday lol
The ventilation design makes it more easier to love the sub. It stays cool even after more hours of audio usage while I’m on the road.
