Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

  • • Why aren't my RGB lights turning on?
Check the controller's power, ground, fuse, and lighting connections. Also make sure the MC-1 is connected correctly.
  • • Why is one lighting zone not working?
Check the wiring and connections for the affected zone. A loose connection or incorrect wiring can prevent that zone from lighting.
  • • Why can't I control the lights from the MC-1?
The controller requires a compatible Wet Sounds MC-1 media center. Check the Shadow-Net connections between the controller and media center.
  • • Why aren't the lights changing colors?
Check that the lighting zone is powered on and the connections are secure. Use the MC-1 lighting controls to select a different color or effect.
  • • Why doesn't the music-sync lighting mode work?
The music-sync input must receive an audio signal from the MC-1. Check the 3.5mm audio connection between the media center and controller.
  • • Can I control multiple lighting zones separately?
Yes, the controller supports up to four independent RGB lighting zones. Each zone can be controlled separately for color, brightness, and lighting effects.
  • • Why are the lights dimmer than expected?
Low supply voltage or excessive load can reduce lighting output. Check the power connections and keep the total LED load within the controller's 500-watt capacity.
  • • Why do the lights turn off unexpectedly?
A poor power connection, weak ground, or overloaded circuit can interrupt operation. Check the wiring, fuse, and power supply for the controller.
  • • Can it control Shadow-Caster lighting?
Yes, the controller is compatible with Shadow-Caster marine LED systems. Verify that the lighting is wired to the appropriate zone outputs before use.
  • • Is it suitable for marine installations?
The black-box controller is designed for marine lighting applications. Use proper marine-grade wiring and protect all connections from moisture and corrosion.
