Small but powerful, the JL Audio M400/4 amplifier is primarily designed for marine applications, making it an excellent match to power up your boat’s speaker system. This four-channel amplifier gives you the flexibility whether to connect it with two pairs of speakers or set it in a two-channel mode and power up a pair of subwoofers. You can also set it in a three-channel mode and connect one pair of speakers and a mono subwoofer for a nice full-range frequency audio reproduction.
The JL Audio M400/4 utilizes JL Audio’s top-notch patents, such as the NexD Switching Technology, which uses a self-oscillating modulator to cancel out noise that comes from power supply voltage fluctuations. The JL Audio M400/4 also has an Advanced Rollback Protection Circuit, which turns down the peak power output of the amplifier until it reaches back to its safe operating temperature without any unnecessary shut downs.
The JL Audio M400/4 marine amplifier can handle a power output of 75 Watts RMS at 4 ohms and 100 Watts RMS at 2 ohms per channel. It also has a frequency response of 12 Hz to 22 kHz, which enables it to deliver an extensive full-range frequency performance with minimal distortion.
Aside from its Class-D amp design and stainless-steel chassis, the JL Audio M400/4 also have variable high and low-pass filters from 50 to 500 Hz, so you can filter out and get only the best possible audio quality from the marine amplifier.

Ideal for powersports, marine and off-road vehicle applications, these enclosed speaker systems include JL Audio's high-performance, M3 6.5-inch marine coaxial speakers with silk dome tweeters housed in rugged, injection-molded enclosures to deliver clean, loud audio. A rotating clamp receiver is included with each VEX™ pod to mate with an appropriate fixture (sold separately) for mounting to a flat surface, roll-cage or tower structure, allowing precise aiming for optimum sound. Pipe mounting fixtures (sold separately) are available in a variety of sizes to fit a wide range of tube diameters.
A weatherproof, Lexan™ rear logo appliqué trims the rear of each pod, which can be oriented to match any mounting position. For convenience, ten feet of JL Audio's 16AWG marine-grade, parallel conductor speaker cable is included with each VEX™ pod. Although VEX™ pods can be used with as little as 20 W per channel, JL Audio recommends powering these systems with an amplifier capable of 60-120 W of continuous power per channel. For best results, use with a subwoofer. Like all JL Audio marine speakers, this system is weatherproof and built to deliver years of listening enjoyment.
