Rear Speaker Enclosures
The 6.5" rear speaker enclosures are designed to accommodate 6.5” M0, M1, and M2 series speakers. The composite blend is light in weight and designed to directly fit select RANGER models. Secures to existing factory mounting locations in the roof. Minimal cutting on the headliner is required to remove pre-embossed speaker cutouts. Enclosures compatible with M0/M1/M2 6.5" model speakers. Kit includes wiring harness and mounting hardware needed for the installation

- • Why won't the RNGR18-RSE fit my Ranger even though the year matches?
The enclosure is made for select 2018+ Ranger models, so the model year by itself is not enough. Different Ranger configurations can have different roof and interior layouts, making the official compatibility chart an important check before purchase.
- • Why can't I mount these rear pods without a Polaris poly roof?
The RNGR18-RSE uses mounting points associated with the Ranger's roof structure and is specifically listed as requiring the Polaris Ranger poly roof. A different roof setup can leave the intended mounting locations unavailable.
- • Why did I receive empty speaker enclosures instead of speakers?
The RNGR18-RSE is an empty rear enclosure kit. The pods are designed to accept compatible 6.5-inch Rockford Fosgate M0, M1, or M2 speakers, which must be purchased separately unless included as part of a complete audio package.
- • Why do I have to cut my headliner if the pods are supposed to bolt in?
The enclosures use existing factory mounting locations, but the headliner has pre-embossed speaker cutouts that need to be opened during installation. This is why the installation can involve some cutting even though the main enclosure mounting is OEM-style.
- • Why don't my aftermarket 6.5-inch speakers fit inside the pods?
Although the enclosure accepts a 6.5-inch speaker, Rockford Fosgate specifically designs the RNGR18-RSE around its M0, M1, and M2 6.5-inch models. Another brand may have different mounting depth, basket dimensions, or grille requirements.
- • Why are my rear speakers not producing sound after installation?
The enclosure itself does not provide amplification. If the speakers are connected but silent, inspect the included rear wiring harness, speaker terminals, amplifier output, and source settings. Rockford also notes that incorrect installation is a common reason products are returned with no actual fault found.
- • Why do the speakers work but the Color Optix lighting doesn't?
The enclosure is Color Optix-ready, but RGB lighting requires compatible Color Optix speakers and the appropriate PMX-RGB controller. Audio operation can therefore work normally even when the lighting system has a wiring or controller issue.
- • Why is installing the rear pods harder when my Ranger already has other accessories?
The pods occupy the rear roof area, so accessories, roof liners, windshields, or other equipment can affect access during installation. Checking the complete vehicle configuration is especially important because these are vehicle-specific enclosures rather than universal speaker boxes.
- • Can these speaker enclosures handle mud, rain, and pressure washing?
The RNGR18-RSE uses Rockford Fosgate's Element Ready construction and carries an IPX6 water-intrusion rating, making it designed for demanding outdoor UTV conditions. However, water-resistant construction does not mean electrical connections should be exposed unnecessarily to direct high-pressure spray.
- • Why do the pods look like they should install quickly but still take time?
The main enclosures are designed to bolt into OEM locations, but installation also involves opening the headliner cutouts, fitting the trim rings, routing the supplied wiring harness, securing the hardware, and installing the speakers. The vehicle-specific design simplifies the process but does not eliminate the hands-on work.
