Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
- • What amplifier works best with these tower speakers?
Choose an amplifier delivering 400 watts RMS per speaker at 4 ohms. Set the gain correctly to help prevent clipping and distortion.
- • Will the mini fixed clamps fit my boat's tower?
The TC3-F MINI clamps fit tubing between 1 and 1-7/8 inches in diameter. Measure your tower before purchasing to ensure compatibility.
- • Why does the sound distort at high volume?
Distortion may result from amplifier clipping, excessive gain, or poor audio quality. Lower the volume and check your wiring and amplifier settings.
- • Can riders hear music while wakeboarding behind the boat?
The 12-inch drivers and titanium horn-loaded compression drivers project clear sound over long distances. Proper positioning and sufficient amplifier power improve coverage.
- • Why is one speaker quieter than the other?
Uneven sound may result from loose wiring, balance settings, or amplifier problems. Check the connections and audio settings before replacing components.
- • Do these speakers provide enough bass without a subwoofer?
The 12-inch drivers deliver strong midbass and clear audio. Add a compatible marine subwoofer for deeper low-frequency performance.
- • Are these speakers suitable for saltwater boating?
The reinforced enclosures and stainless steel hardware are designed for marine environments. Rinse away salt residue regularly to help maintain their condition.
- • Why are the RGB lights not turning on?
The integrated lighting requires a compatible RGB controller and correct wiring. Check the power supply, connectors, and controller settings.
- • Why do the speakers rattle when playing music loudly?
Loose clamps, mounting bolts, or nearby tower components can cause unwanted vibration. Inspect the hardware and tighten it according to the installation instructions.
- • Are these speakers too heavy for smaller boat towers?
Each speaker weighs approximately 19.84 pounds, so your tower must support the added weight. Check the tower's load capacity and mounting strength before installation.
