Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
- • How much amplifier power do these speakers need?
Each speaker handles 300 watts RMS and 600 watts peak at 4 ohms. Match the amplifier's RMS rating to help prevent damage.
- • Why does the sound distort at high volume?
Distortion may result from amplifier clipping, incorrect gain, or insufficient power. Check wiring and gain settings before raising the volume.
- • Will these fit my boat's wakeboard tower?
Mounting hardware must match your tower's tubing or surface. Measure carefully and verify the clamp type before ordering, as clamps are sold separately.
- • Do the RGB lights work without a controller?
The speakers include integrated RGB lighting rings and an illuminated badge. A compatible controller is required to operate the lights.
- • Are the XZ grilles included?
Grille inclusion depends on the specific package you purchase. Check the listing carefully, as grilles and mounting clamps may be sold separately.
- • Can I hear music clearly while wakeboarding?
The horn-loaded compression driver projects clear sound over distance. Clarity depends on speaker positioning, amplifier setup, and boat noise.
- • Will these provide deep bass without a subwoofer?
The 10-inch drivers deliver strong midbass for music on the water. For deeper bass, add a properly matched subwoofer.
- • Can I use these in saltwater environments?
They are designed for marine applications and demanding conditions. Rinse off salt residue and follow the manufacturer's care instructions.
- • Why does one speaker sound louder?
Uneven output may result from balance settings, wiring issues, or amplifier channels. Check connections and audio settings before assuming a speaker is defective.
- • How can I prevent vibration or rattling?
Loose clamps, mounting hardware, or nearby components can cause rattling. Tighten mounting points and inspect surrounding parts while playing music.
