Why Choose Pioneer TS-A653FH Full Range Car Speakers?
Pioneer's A-Series MAX: Built for Superior Sound
Pioneer's A-Series speakers have been top picks for years, and the new A-Series+ and A-Series MAX lines continue that legacy with improved performance at an affordable price. The Pioneer TS-A653FH 6-1/2" 2-way car speakers proudly represent the A-Series MAX, delivering exceptional sound quality, especially when paired with an external amplifier. You’ll experience crisp, powerful audio without the distortion that can ruin your vibe. Thanks to Pioneer's engineering, these speakers offer consistent, reliable performance throughout their lifespan.
Built for the Long Haul
Pioneer crafted the A-Series MAX speakers using high-quality materials to ensure lasting comfort for your ears. The woofer cone is made from injection-molded polypropylene, reinforced with aramid fiber and mica for smooth operation and deep, impactful bass. The deeper basket design, combined with Pioneer's unique suspension system, keeps the cone stable during intense music peaks, so your sound stays on point. The inline dome tweeter ensures every high note is crystal clear, bringing your music to life. With sleek grilles included for custom installation, these speakers are designed to provide long-lasting enjoyment on every drive.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
- • Do I need sound deadening in my doors?
While not required, sound-deadening material can noticeably improve bass response and reduce vibrations. Many users report cleaner audio and less road noise after adding it.
- • Why do vocals seem muffled compared to my old speakers?
Muffled vocals are usually caused by incorrect equalizer settings or speaker obstruction behind the door panel. Resetting the EQ and checking for installation issues often restores vocal clarity.
- • Can these speakers be installed without replacing the factory wiring?
Yes. They can usually be connected to factory wiring, although vehicle-specific wiring adapters make installation easier and avoid cutting the original harness.
- • Why do the speakers get warm during long listening sessions?
A slight increase in temperature is normal when the speakers are handling power for extended periods. Excessive heat may indicate overpowering or amplifier clipping.
- • Can I install these in both the front and rear doors?
Yes, provided your vehicle uses compatible speaker sizes in those locations. Many users install matching speakers throughout the vehicle for a more balanced soundstage.
- • Why do the speakers lose clarity when the bass is turned up?
Excessive bass boost forces full-range speakers to reproduce frequencies they are not optimized for. Lowering the bass or adding a dedicated subwoofer can improve clarity.
- • Is an amplifier necessary to hear the full potential of these speakers?
No, they will operate with a factory or aftermarket radio. However, a quality amplifier provides cleaner power and allows the speakers to perform at their best.
- • Why do I hear a buzzing noise only on certain songs?
Buzzing can come from loose door clips, vibrating interior panels, or damaged audio files rather than the speakers themselves. Inspect nearby trim pieces and test with another music source to isolate the issue.

I’m happy I went with these speakers rather than the Alpine. Much cheaper and I don’t think there’s much difference with the sound. very satisfied with how they are turning my audio setup for the better.
