The MB Quart MDR2.0 comes equipped with Bluetooth 4.0, supporting wireless audio playback (AD2P) and control (AVRCP). This allows you to stream music wirelessly from your Bluetooth-enabled device to the receiver, including stored music, music apps, and other audio content. Basic playback functions like Play/Pause & Skip Next/Previous can be operated from the unit's front-panel controls, although more advanced music control still requires your Bluetooth-enabled source device. Additionally, the receiver displays song/artist/album information (excluding album art) for your Bluetooth streaming music. It offers Simple Secure Pairing (SSP) for quick and easy wireless connection to your Bluetooth device, automatically reconnecting to the last paired device upon power-up. The Bluetooth range of the unit extends to approximately 32 feet.
The marine-rated speakers provided with the package have an IPX-67 rating, ensuring resistance to water, dust, UV rays, and rust. They feature a two-way coaxial driver design, comprising a 0.75" composite dome tweeter and a 6.5" composite polypropylene cone woofer with a butyl rubber surround. The integrated composite grilles are permanently fixed and cannot be removed. Additionally, the mounting hardware included is made of stainless steel, offering corrosion resistance.
