- • Why is the new subwoofer not producing any bass?
Check the factory subwoofer signal, amplifier power, gain, and speaker connections. A missing or inactive factory subwoofer output can prevent the system from receiving an audio signal.
- • Does the factory subwoofer need to be removed?
Not necessarily. SSV Works states that its add-on system can operate alongside the factory B&O or Visteon subwoofer.
- • Why does the bass sound distorted at high volume?
Too much amplifier gain or bass boost can cause clipping. Lower the gain and gradually retune the system for cleaner output.
- • Will BR-DS10K work with a 2-door Bronco?
No. The current SSV Works complete 10" system is designed for 4-door Bronco models; 2-door applications are not listed as compatible.
- • Why does the amplifier turn on but the subwoofer stays silent?
Inspect the amplifier output, speaker wiring, and factory signal connection. A powered amplifier can still have an interrupted audio path.
- • Do all 2021–2022 Broncos have the required subwoofer wiring?
No. Standard 6-speaker 2021–2022 Broncos may lack the factory subwoofer output harness, while compatible B&O-equipped models have the required connection.
- • Why does the enclosure make noise over rough roads?
Check the mounting hardware and nearby trim for looseness. Trail vibration can turn a small gap or loose fastener into an annoying rattle.
- • Is FORScan required for every Bronco installation?
No. SSV Works says FORScan is not required when the Bronco already has the Visteon or B&O factory subwoofer. Vehicles without a factory subwoofer may require FORScan to enable the factory subwoofer output.
- • Can the subwoofer work with the factory audio controls?
Yes. The system uses the factory subwoofer output, allowing it to integrate with the Bronco's existing audio system rather than requiring a separate aftermarket head unit.
- • Why does the bass level seem different after installation?
The factory EQ, amplifier gain, crossover, and the existing subwoofer can all affect the final sound. Adjust the new amplifier carefully instead of simply increasing the bass control.
