The I.L.M. (Interchangeable Locking Mechanism) lets you configure this speaker as either a coaxial or component system, giving you the freedom to build your setup your way. It’s also 3-way upgrade ready—simply add the P3V2-25 midrange driver to expand into a complete 3-way component system. Updated mounting flanges ensure direct fitment into newer vehicles for easier installation and a clean, factory-style finish.
The 3/4” (19 mm) Tetolon® inverted dome tweeter delivers clear, detailed high-frequency sound with consistent performance even under demanding listening conditions. A 20–40% mica-reinforced polypropylene curvilinear cone adds strength and improves sound accuracy for a more natural and musical response. The Santoprene™ half-roll surround enhances durability while helping reduce distortion, ensuring smooth and reliable performance over time.
The glass-fiber reinforced PA66 composite basket and Nomex® spider provide durable construction that resists wear and mechanical stress for long-lasting performance. A vented Kapton® voice coil former helps improve heat dissipation, supporting stable operation during extended use. The overhung voice coil design maintains consistent magnetic control to reduce distortion, while the high-strength Y35 ferrite magnet (5 mm larger than the previous generation) delivers stronger, more controlled audio output.
Surface and flush tweeter cups with copper spring contacts allow convenient front-side servicing using the included tool, while the threaded flush mount design fits 3/8" panels using a 1.5" hole-saw cutout for a clean installation. The 2-pin micro-Molex crossover connection can be secured with screws or zip ties for reliable wiring. The ICC+ crossover system provides flexible tuning with an internal 6 dB crossover, optional 12 dB external crossover, and selectable -3 dB tweeter attenuation. Designed for tight-space installations, the removable motor cover improves mounting flexibility, and the package includes mounting hardware and a cut-out template. Sold as a pair, with grilles available separately.
