  • These speakers are amazing. I have them in the front doors with a JL Audio 300/2 amp on them and they are extremely powerful.

  • Awesome speakers. They sound outstanding with the right installation and an amp capable of powering them. I put them up front with a second XR 650 CW woofer and power both with an jl 300/4 amp. Just clear powerfull sound. For shure worth all the money and more. We in Germany know how to produce great speakers and that's why JL produces these just 5 Miles from me my house. Great speakers...them now and you'll be satisfied. JL is the only way to go, if you talk about car audio!

  • you pay for the best and in this case these are the best component speakers i have ever heard. my 6 1/2 in components hit just as hard as 10 in best buy subs and thats with my speakers being powered by my head unit. i can only imagine what it will sound like when i get my amp put in.

  • Amazing speakers. I have sets of these in a 2002 Passat paired with a JL 450/4 amp. Sound quality is AMAZING! I have been through many different systems and this is the best by far! I recently added an Eclipse CD8445 deck and the sound quality is rediculous. Highly Recommended!

  • Worth every penny! I have these JL's in my Nissan Titan in the front and rear doors powered by an alpine 545 amp and they are clear and loud. I used to have Kicker R6's but these JL's dominate those. Worth the money.

  • good sound quality using a alpine MRF series amp.A bit expensive but good value of money. A class of its own JL Audio keeps a smile on my face:)

  • I put these speakers in the back of my Suzuki Sidekick Sport with the tweeters mounted up high to clear cargo and passengers heads. Great sound, deep tight bass out of a smallish 50w/channel amp, enough for my listening style. The full tonal range brought out parts of my music I had missed in the past. I coupled these with TR400 for the front position driven from a Pioneer Premium deck which allowed me fantastic tonal control. I will miss this set up when I sell the Sidekick, best car audio I have experienced so far, but that is likely because it is designed with me in mind. :)

  • I bought these XR's as part of my first "real" system I ever installed in a car. I have an 05 Grand Cherokee. I have these in my front doors with TR's in the rear all running off a JL 450/4 amp. I have a 10W6v2 with a 500/1 for bass also. The XR's do sound good, and can handle the power from the amp, which is 150 watts each. The tweeters can go very high, ear piercing high, but I would like to see the mids hit lower. Maybe I need to mess with the amp settings more, but it already looks like the mids are being pushed to there limits. If you dont have the money or the amp power, I feel the JL TR's do just as good of a job in the midrange though not as loud with the highs. Just my 2 cents.

  • I have had these in my truck for 5 years now and they still sound great after a lot of abuse. I'd recommend these to anyone who wants an affordable component set that lasts a very long time.
