  • I got 2 of these subs hooked up to a Alpine Mrd 1000/1 amp smaller alpine amp to run mids and highs and alpine head unit. If you want serious bass that turns heads and pisses off annoying neighbours go with these

  • Incredible. That's all I can say about these. You really can't explain it. You have to experience the power of these subs on your own. I have two of these hooked up to a 500/1 and it is the sweetest thing ever. When these things hit (even with only a 500/1 on them) it feels like you are getting punched in the chest. Simply amazing

  • This sub is awesome. People can hear u coming around the corner. Shake chandeliers across the street. i have one in a ranger ext. cab. its ported and takes the whole back seat. only pushing about 150 to it though with a junky(not the word i wanted to use) amp. way better than my 12" mtx.

  • several years of exploring mobile audio, from Kenwood to Xtant subs and amps, sealed and ported. The JL line, one 10" W6 w/ 500/1, is by far da best!Blows the doors off my new Spec-V, and da houses near by!

  • It's a great sub if you power it correctly and your components can keep up with it. I currently have 350 going into it, but it can handle much more. So I would say put 500 into it and it would slam even better. It's a very musical sub if in the correct enclosure and if it's powered correctly. Overall though it is a kick ass sub. Buy it if you can, well worth the money.

  • I'm a DJ and I like to get the same quality in my ride that I have in the club, so I Have two of these kick ass 10's and that's just what they do, with a JL 500/1 on each 10 and JL 6450 on everything else I can think of...........

  • i bought one of these for my 2005 maxima and it hits hard. i only have it hooked up to a five channel kicker amp that runs the whole system. i've been listening to it for about 2 weeks now. i am either going to buy another one or get the jl 1/500 watt amp to push it. but overall ordering from the site was easy and everyone at circuit city said it was thumping for just one 10.

  • Is hard to have good bass in a 87'nissan reg.cab but JL's are no b.s,I have one 10 inch w3v4 and that's all I need to turn heads and piss off my friendly neighboors, but I'm no stranger to JL I started with wo's in HS

  • i got one sub, to replace 2 10inchs pioneer 800w on sealed enclosure, wired to a kicker 400.1 and a ported enclosure, and let me tell you something; this sub (only one) really hit the bass better than the 2 pioneers and is louder than those sub's, after listen this JL sub for about one hour i got headache, i love this sub. I cant wait to get one more. i recomend the W6, worth the money you pay for.

  • I just put a pair of these in my truck to replace 2 Phoenix Gold Titanium Ti10d's. These things absolutely pound. I'll be honest and say that at lower volumes the PG's are actually warmer and richer on the low end but turn the knob just a little and the JL's come into their own. The bass is tight, clean, and powerful. These subs take bass at volumes that would distort most 10's and asks for more. It's like they have a mind of their own and all they want to do is crank out the bass. I listen to a wide range of music and these subs hit all the notes from the high end bass you often get in dancehall reggae, the standard drum kicks of rock, R&B and live music, to the ridiculous low ends of hip-hop. And that's in a sealed enclosure, I can't imagine what they would sound like ported. They also require very little space, mine are in .75 cu ft each. Bottom line is if you want loud clean tight bass at any level and you have the amp power you won't be disappointed with these subs.

  • just replaced my two 12" kicker L7s with 3 10w6v2 running off a kicker zx 1000.1..subs that iv heard...maybe not as loud as the L7s but better spl and sq. these three along with my boston acoustics mids and highs makes a great combo. but always remember....U GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.

  • I have two of these in my 04 Grand prix with a JL 1000/1v2, my amp is wayyy to strong for the subs but they sound absolutley amazing, im thinking about buying a third 10 w6 because i cant even turn my amp up.

  • i have 3 of these in my acura rsxslapps!!!i got an arc 1000.1 kar series runnin' them and the sound quality is definately the best, but as far as raw pounding bass.. I've heard louder. If you go jl's,you're not looking for just power though. It's all about versatility and quality over quantity.

  • ive had three of these tens in my ride for at least twelve years now and one finaly ripped. so its time to get three more new ones to replace the ones i already have. These speakers are the real deal, except no substitutions. You want the best and these are them, unles you get w7 then your really getting serious.

  • I have two of these bad boys powered by two 500/1v2. The power and sound quality that I get is off the charts. If you want the kind of power that many 12s and 15s give you then look no further! Not to mention these woofers only need a .625 enclosure to house them in. These are definately the best subwoofers i have ever infested in, and I would not hesitate in doing it again.

  • 1 10" sub in a jl audio 12w1 box. This thing is sick. With the speed port, just watch out. I can get my roof to flex in my 09 tribute, all off a fosgate 351m. If you can find a empty 12w1 box and a w6v2 go for it. CP110G-W1v2 use this box!!

  • I dont have alot of experience with car stereo's, I had two JL 10W0's way back in highschool and they sounded good. I recently got an 05 Grand Cherokee and wanted better sound, so I went with all JL again, the 6.5 XR comps for fronts, 6.5 TR's for rears, a JL 450/4 amp to run them, a single 10W6v2 in a sealed enclosure I made to JL specs,a 500/1 amp for that, and ran all new 12 gauge JL speakers wires and the JL dual amp kit. I installed everthing myself and I am impressed with how it sounds. I still need to mess with the amp settings to tune it better. I mostly listen to dance and rock/metal. During heavey drum kicks the sub hits my chest in, and listening at full volume for a long time gives me a headache with the sub and speaker combination. I also did alot of soundproofing in the entire car. The excursion of the sub is amazing to look at also, the sub looks like its taking a beating but it keeps going and going sounding great. I noticed after a small break in period the sub sounded better and better.
